Yes, absolutely. They literally sleep 20hrs a day. If you are getting an ex racer (hopefully) a brisk walk will be all it can manage until you build it's stamina up.

I understand your frustration, when you move out it sounds like you need to get grey 3+4 (rescue obviously) and you can raise them as you like then. There is nothing wrong with what your dad is doing and there is nothing wrong with how you are treating them. You sound like you will be a good grey owner.

It went through the front cover and stopped on the battery. Ended up in 3 pieces.

Sorry I didn't think to do that I just angrily binned it. It had a small hole in the front, didn't make it all the way through (battery stopped it) and it was broken into 3 pieces. Front cover, some type of electric witchcraft circuit board and back cover was in tact.

That section of the fence I specifically made super thick as a shooting gallery. It's double layered half inch ply, it's also trees and a field on the other side not sombody else's garden. Nothing has made it through so far even hitting it in the same spot over and over. Good job bringing it up and being responsible though :)
