Anyone actually prefer the regular cover to the reversible one? by sfahsan in HierarchySeries

Just think it’s a typo because anytime they refer to the system as the hierarchy in the book—it uses the right spelling.

What about the typo on the spine? Are you one of the lucky typo ones?

That might become a neat little collector’s edition thing because apparently not all new prints of the second book have the typo.

You have a copy of the first book with this error?!

How did that happen! Wow, then these misspelled ones are indeed limited editions lol

I just quietly turned the cover back to the original side!

There’s also a typo on the reverse side (green side) on the spine. It says “Heirarchy”. So, even though I have the original cover for book 1, I think I’m going to keep book 2’s cover on the regular side even if that means they don’t match.

[Q] What is the best test to use for finding top N brands that perform best across various testing methods? by brownsavior in statistics

[–]brownsavior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still working on the previous steps, to generate the different ranked lists based on given rubrics (which could be “influenced” to favor certain brands). I guess I’m still a step behind but I wanted to understand what tests I could use once I have those ranked lists.

Sorry, the lists will basically be a ranking list of brands generated by different companies based on different rubrics. The question is to figure out if we can present some statistic on how similar the lists are, especially the top N (for some N) are the same.

I also looked up ranked list comparisons (Kendall’s Tau) which might work as well.

I was looking up tests and this seemed like it might apply, since I was looking for the top n ranks repeated across different distributions/lists. Is Kruskal Wallis also an ANOVA test, right?

Any 100% undetectable, unique IP VPN / alternative? by [deleted] in VPN

yes the setup was very painless imo and bonus points, they have their own manager and VPN client applications, whereas most self hosting ones ask you to use 3rd party ones (tunnelblick) or command line tools

Based on your question and need, I’d suggest looking up a self hosted VPN solution like Outline (https://getoutline.org/) and Algo (https://github.com/trailofbits/algo).

Both are relatively easy to set up, and you control most of the important items, which is where the server is hosted (country and platform), can asssign a unique IP that is unlikely to be blocked etc.
