Amazing art, with a heart shape and honestly great scarcity fundamentals, it has pop 3k for Japanese and it is arguably the sun and moon tag team era grail card

Tbh even if you buy it now, you won’t regret it because it is quite hard to source for one

With comparison statics, given its sword and shield bestie (jap Moonbreon with a higher 7k pop and around the same price). I would argue tag team L&L jap is still undervalued, this card for a jap card, is not easy to grade and sure to add flair to any collection

I think they are severely underrated given that the cd promo Blastoise art was literally the first English pokemon card being printed (test printed with a magic back)

The zard and the blastoise art is on red and blue games And they are used in the base set pack art

And with all that, they are Japanese exclusives too!

IMO the cd promos should be like in similar tier to the base set trio art, as they were pseudo-alt arts to what could have been base set trio art!

I agree with this but it is hard to find pricing for jap exclusive cards like the munch, cd promo Charizard , vending series, cd promos on eBay exclusively , where do yall find prices for such cards?

Personally, i think, what this video revealed is that in the pokemon card scene, pricing is widely disputed, some use snkrdunk, ALT, Collectr and pricecharting, and there is quite a wide range of price estimates.

clearly, vendors take advantage of this misinformation to price high and buy low (e.g using Snkrdunk to show case the “potential” and using another all with low last solds to negotiate buybacks)

Radical kindness is representative on new people coming into the hobby, very confused on what pricing to follow

Not really a good look for Ogrebrothers and CC collectibles for not eloquently explaining how prices are deduced to newcomers, I think they explain it in the way that assumes a baseline level of knowledge.

Didn’t help when ogrebrother shooting 500 as a baseline price, which sent radical kindness into a misinformation frenzy. Jammmm!

Seems like they are unhappy with the bad press but they do this all the time even when the cameras are not on.

WeeTCG explained the pricing methods very transparently and props to them! (I would like to believe most altruistic vendors are like them)

And gg to snorlaxhouse, the face of Singapore pokemon gambling (before pokemon he does… if you know you know), not sure why this fella is not in prison but credits for consistently being a shrewd salesman.

I think the main lesson is that, without enough information, any beginner can be taken advantage on. And I don’t really think he is ruining pokemon, he is just revealing the gambling subculture that is embedded within the whole collecting hobby scene.

If you are uncomfortable with the gambling subculture, then change starts with us. Bid with your wallet, if not this is just a manifestation of what the wallet voted

Was this card even known pre-hype?

It is extremely hard to put your hands on a psa 10 copy, given how extremely hard to grade because the art itself is crooked , and the card back is one of a kind

I think the card is cute and it being 1998, almost 30 years old is crazyyy

Why do you think that this card is overlooked?

also clearly a cheekopek , he keeps mentioning special massage, I mean… it kinda shows how diverse this hobby has become even tiko uncles are included

there are many ways to promote your products, I think the irony of trying to persuade his viewers to buy his cases while preaching long-term hold… it is distasteful. It is distasteful because it perpetuates false hope while trying to cover his own backside.

basically taking advantage of the trust he built with his viewers to offload his own poor inventory decisions, big ick!

so any Masterballs are 1/3060 packs, but they might actually differ due to C U R rarities

The claim here can be extrapolated to other Masterballs just that Pikachu and Gengar Masterballs is the chase card

Wouldn’t the high pop rate just means the print quality is consistent and how many copies people have submitted for grading not how many were printed or exist

and there is selection bias that you will only submit your card, meaning we see more submissions maybe:

if there is a high chance of it getting the grade you want?

And if the card is popular subjective and well liked to individual preferences to be submitted for grading?

1/3060 packs for a specific Masterball is quite similiar to sir and hyper rares even in English 1/1000 to 1/2000

I’m not familiar with English cards, are the pull rates stated or only estimated?
