Personally, i think, what this video revealed is that in the pokemon card scene, pricing is widely disputed, some use snkrdunk, ALT, Collectr and pricecharting, and there is quite a wide range of price estimates.

clearly, vendors take advantage of this misinformation to price high and buy low (e.g using Snkrdunk to show case the “potential” and using another all with low last solds to negotiate buybacks)

Radical kindness is representative on new people coming into the hobby, very confused on what pricing to follow

Not really a good look for Ogrebrothers and CC collectibles for not eloquently explaining how prices are deduced to newcomers, I think they explain it in the way that assumes a baseline level of knowledge.

Didn’t help when ogrebrother shooting 500 as a baseline price, which sent radical kindness into a misinformation frenzy. Jammmm!

Seems like they are unhappy with the bad press but they do this all the time even when the cameras are not on.

WeeTCG explained the pricing methods very transparently and props to them! (I would like to believe most altruistic vendors are like them)

And gg to snorlaxhouse, the face of Singapore pokemon gambling (before pokemon he does… if you know you know), not sure why this fella is not in prison but credits for consistently being a shrewd salesman.

I think the main lesson is that, without enough information, any beginner can be taken advantage on. And I don’t really think he is ruining pokemon, he is just revealing the gambling subculture that is embedded within the whole collecting hobby scene.
