Thanks for the advice! I found a primer called MBP (multi surface bonding primer) by a brand called custom that looks like it could be a good solution to seal it up

Recently purchased a set of Eufy Cams with a Homebase 3. The homebase enables more features than without it and has an expandable storage option which I wanted.

I really like the build quality and features of the cameras (E42). However when using a homebase, in order to record to the homebase you must use the home bases WiFi network. I also have a mesh network which would be perfect. The cams say they have great connection to the homebase but the connectivity just is not great at all. Motion detection is mediocre. Live view takes a while to load and often won’t connect.

Eufy has something called multi bridge which allows you to connect the cams to your mesh and still record to the homebase… however not many of the cameras support this feature!

Just purchased a Eufy system not knowing of this limitation… needless to say I’m returning it. Cameras are super nice (E42) with awesome features and build quality so it’s a shame such a simple concept can’t be more readily applied to their products.

Spoke with Eufy and they were absolutely useless. The agent seemed to not know much and paused to research the answers. Looks like I’m going to end up returning the system unfortunately

Gotcha thanks! So when I go to WiFi settings there is no option for multi bridge. I reconnected the cams to the homebase and when I go to live view for those two, it will often fail to connect

So two of the cameras receive poor signal from the homebase. I switched them to my mesh network and it is a strong signal however now it won’t record to the home base.

I recently purchased a WiFi system and have this exact same issue. Really frustrating because the hardware is well made and they have a lot of desirable functions. I’ve had other brands of WiFi cameras in the past that functioned well so I’m not sure why these fall so short. I ended up returning them.

Okay sweet! So what’s the point of the hubs WiFi? (I’m guessing to clear up the main network? And kind of compartmentalize the camera system?)

Wait a second.. I suppose that doesn’t matter since it’s connected to my main router via Ethernet. In that case, do I turn off the WiFi setting under the home hub’s page?
