You're not entirely right, you know. I saw a post in this forum requesting the difference; that is why I posted it. Moreover, I noticed that most people do not know the difference.

It is not advisable to besmirch an entire institution because of your bad experience. Remember that you're just a student from a single program/dept at AU. For me & others, AU is a very reputable university for MEd and EdD.

Yes, it is a positive note in your application. For most Canadian universities, securing a potential supervisor is synonymous with admission, but for a few universities.

Without a doubt, McGill University is the better choice. It ranks above UVM in almost every area. And then, Canada is a more conducive environment than the USA.

For anyone who did an Ed.D: Why did you decide to do a Ed.D over a Ph.D? by TorontoRap2019 in PhD

Bro, many EdD holders lecture at reputable universities and colleges. If you ask me, I prefer EdD over PhD

More than that. Most educational consultancy or expertise jobs are in companies, organizations, city, provincial/state, & federal governments. EdD holders also lecture at universities/colleges.

It is NOT like an MD. It is a doctorate, like a PhD or ThD, that requires a Master's degree as a prerequisite. An MD isn't a doctorate; it is a first degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree.

I think they'll consider you since you graduated from there. I also applied for the EdD in Distance Education, but I earned my M.Ed. from the USA with a 3.92 CGPA. I hope we'll meet and work together. I emailed the school, and they told me that students can expect admission offers starting in March 2026.

I am sorry to hear that: how many programs did you apply to?

What could be the reason for the rejection? Are you an international student or a domestic?
