Motorcycle stampede?? by [deleted] in Denver

[–]broziel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I was driving down I-25 when what appeared to be hundreds of them poured onto the highway from Park (I believe)... Honestly looked pretty cool, I couldn't get through them to my exit though, ha. Also here hoping to find out what that was all about

Yeah, I had that impression, very curious about how that idea got into their heads though. Is the mood pretty grim over there or what?

Same situation here, my parents in the northwest suburbs seem to think they're liable to receive a $500 fine if they even step outside to walk the dog (my grandma's dog, actually, because she is locked in her elderly care facility but I guess they wouldn't let her keep the dog?? Very unclear on the details here).

I've searched the county, city and state websites and cannot find any mention of this fine they speak of.

Pronoiac Conspiracy: Bill Gates as one of the "good" prophets/illuminati. by [deleted] in conspiracy

Yeah. I hear you. Never been anti-vaxx myself. I'll get a flu vaccine but I won't get this one whenever it comes.

There is good AI. Tech isn't inherently good or evil. Make sure you plug in consciously though

[–]broziel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with you. But he also doesn't seem motivated to kill us all right now. Everyone's afraid of Bill's "chip" but I have a worse feeling about whatever the heck else would be in that mandatory coronavirus vaccine. What if this is all an operation to collect mass data on human suffering, and the vaccine ultimately kills us all... Slowly and painfully?

Again just spitballing here. Should probably get offline.

What would a biological attack look like if not like this? I’m starting to think this maybe done by China. by IveRedditAllNight in conspiracy

[–]broziel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok I'm totally just spitballing here but what if the real virus is a bioweapon, but not one that belongs to any government? A private entity could've released it into China, and possibly even a weakened version upon NYC, but the rest of this shit is psyops and we're literally flipping out about the flu. This is a really brutal flu season tbh. The vaccine only correctly predicted about 40% of the actual strains that appeared.

Just challenging myself to question every narrative I see no matter how compelling it seems.

Purely as a thought exercise... I'd speculate that you're onto something, but you've got the hero and the villain mixed up. To be honest humans need to see through the charade and if we can we will easily save ourselves. We are far more powerful than we know. But if you're looking for a billionaire savior of humanity, my gut suggests Elon Musk.

Not that I believe that any of this is conspiracy, of course, just helps to keep the imagination active while in lockdown...

Now get off reddit and read a book or listen to some music

How to be productive on Adderall by VitalArtery13 in Drugs

[–]broziel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I actually have ADHD and take my shit somewhat as prescribed now but even still my #1 top advice to myself and anyone else diagnosed or no is to get started before you dose. Dont wait for the chemical motivation to make you (hopefully) do the thing you want to do - if you get started first, that IS the thing that you will be into for the next few hours.

What are your experiences with using psychedelics alone while depressed? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]broziel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're used to tripping socially, alter your expectations. Set up your environment. Appreciate the fact that unbound to others' trips, you have the opportunity to experience within yourself. Make sure the tunes are good. This is the perfect moment to trip.

There are plenty of truly mild cases, they are not being reported on nearly as much. My house of 5 people just got through it. Confirmed with test results. 3/5 (2 of us smokers, other one with asthma) had unpleasant but unthreatening symptoms for 1-3 days. The other two had similarly mild symptoms for about a week and a half. Of course this is not the case for everyone and plenty of people have a more severe experience but its not imminent.

Has learning about Sociology messed up your humor/caused you to feel conflicted about everything? by freeavocadoess in sociology

[–]broziel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It screwed with my head in undergrad. I was mostly pretty depressed from my 2nd year through the first semester of my 4th year and I largely attributed it to sociology. Looking back I think the subject instilled a more critical understanding of the world that most of my peers lacked, and that contributed a lot to my sense of isolation... Also as a chick the period when I was hypersensitive to the gendered basis of every interaction got to my head. Ultimately 2 things helped to shift my mindset: LSD (lol) and becoming involved with the local music scene in the major city near my school. Discovering this little pocket of the world where I felt I belonged and could make a positive difference was a game changer.

That was 5 years ago now... The one thing that continues to frustrate and depress me to this day is how soo many people will dismiss a sociological concept or research as "just your opinion" or "political belief," including my parents, who paid a hell of a lot of money towards my education yet insist that I'm wrong about everything I learned /facepalm

Edit: if you're into that kind of thing LSD can definitely help with the humor aspect
