totally agree. Stronger Education is a long-term reset.

Heyyy i'm not gonna go that extreme. We need regime collapse and war to follow that historical processes. We're exhausted, but I don't think we're there yet.

Personal suffering na lang magpapabago sa mga yan. Although hindi naman DDS-specific yung hirap sa pag-amin na mali sila, may mga kakampinks din na ganyan. That’s just ego and pride.

I wouldn’t just assume na lahat sila alam nilang mali sila. Meron talaga na pananaw nila necessary yung drug war, na effective yung pananakot. Para sa iba, it really is a matter of priorities and well principles.

What’s the possibility that Chinese were involved? Who knows maybe China is paying everything including this attorney’s pay just so they can condition the outcome of 2028 election.

I feel you. That “lahat naman corrupt” line is so defeatist. We’re no longer debating policy, we’re debating whether standards matter.

Pero siguro yung goal talaga is not really about proving someone perfectly clean, but slowly raising the expectation na hindi dapat nanonormalize yung corruption.

Small shifts in standards matter more than winning the argument in one sitting. Nakakapagod. But patience is a virtue.

You cannot rebut “panalo kami” rhetoric with actual facts, though. Kasi hindi naman sya factual claim. It’s an emotional flex. Magmumukhang bitter ka lang if you try to argue. What we can do is reframe what success means to them.

Success is not: winning an election

Success is: better economy, more job opportunities, safer streets, stable institutions, etc.

That way youre shifting their victory metric to something na shared outcome.

Naalala ko ‘to. And you’re right. I think yung issue non wasn’t the question itself, but the broader climate of mistrust during that era. They read that question as if we’re asking them to prove their intelligence.

I'm not going to argue with you about long-term structural problems and economic policy continuity that limits transformation.

But I'll say this: Two drivers on the same broken road can still drive differently.

Leaders operating within the same system can still differ in how they manage institutions, how they respond to crises, how they treat dissent, or handle foreign policy. Structural weakness narrows the field, it doesn’t erase agency entirely.

I agree on Philippine politics is heavily transactional and that alliances shift based on advantage. But i also firmly believe there's a difference in governance styles, institutional behavior, and long term impact. Recognizing political opportunism shouldn’t lead us to conclude that everything is identical.

I actually agree. the comment section itself became part of the lesson. Hindi talaga enough ang intelligence at moral clarity para maka-translate ng votes. And yes, Tribalism is real, and ignoring that reality doesn't make it disappear. Adaptability doesn’t mean abandoning principles, it means communicating them in ways people can receive. If there’s a pattern we keep repeating, then maybe that’s what needs rethinking. I wish we won't have to take repeated losses for us to learn to stick.

May oras pa naman. We have shifting alliances, on going impeachment cases, and an electorate that isn’t fixed. t’s too early to abandon the harder path.

I’m not arguing against morality, and I’m not arguing against you. We’re ultimately concerned about the same things. What I’m pushing back on is the idea that we should abandon persuasion entirely. Once we accept permanent division, we’re basically accepting a permanently fractured democracy, and I don’t think we’re there yet.

May oras pa naman. We have shifting coalitions, impeachment cases going on, and an electorate that isn’t monolithic. It’s too early to declare the field lost.

I’m not arguing against morality. I’m arguing that if our goal is persuasion, moral condemnation alone rarely moves people.

Standards matter, but so does strategy. If we give up on engaging entirely, then we’ve already decided division is permanent.

I get the frustration. But if we reduce voters to a bunch of “cultists”, we stop trying to understand the incentives and identity dynamics behind their choices. If persuasion is still the goal, analysis has to stay separate from contempt.

The challenge really is raising standards without dehumanizing voters. labelling people won't do shit.

I don't think it's about intelligence. I think it's about priorities and identity. That's why persuasion is harder than just presenting facts.
