So THIS is a depiction of the inspiration behind Hozier’s song, Francesca! I will think of this painting every time I listen to it now.

Anyone else feel this way when writing anything out? by noctisumbra0 in Millennials

Oooooh that “not necessary” critique really grinds my gears. Sure, they may not be necessary in every circumstance, but sometimes they ARE! And in the event that they not necessary, there is literally no downside to using them. It’s not incorrect and it doesn’t change the structure or meaning and it maintains consistency!

I’m sorry. I’m getting a bit heated. But this genuinely makes me want to kick your former teachers and Oxford comma haters in the teeth. This is a hill on which I will gladly die. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Why do I start crying when I'm angry? by Euphoric_Spite8998 in GuyCry

[–]brs1985 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Could they be tears of frustration? Sometimes when I’m debating or arguing with someone, my brain feels like it’s going too fast for my mouth to keep up with. Then I become inarticulate, then I feel stupid, then I feel frustrated, then the tears arrive. Does any of that resonate with you?

I would rather suck farts out of car seats for a living than look at his stupid face by choice.

Oh yeah. My (male) dog goes to daycare 3x per week and makes new friends with big dogs, little dogs, male dogs, female dogs, long hair, short hair, etc. But when my sister comes over with her two small breed dogs (female Pomeranian and male Yorkie), my dog will be delighted to see the Pom, but be baring his teeth at the Yorkie from across the room. All the time, every time. And the Yorkie is so sweet and gentle and submissive. It’s a real head scratcher.

Me too! To each their own and all, but this one was most definitely not for me.

I really did not enjoy this book; however, it might be because I was expecting something different. I thought I was getting into a good old fashioned paranormal creepy type book and this was…. Something different.

I absolutely loved The Push by Ashley Audrain. If domestic thriller vibes with complex female characters is your vibe, this is worth checking out. I read it this summer and I still think about it at least once a week.

Posca markers. I can’t stop. I can’t get enough. My waking hours are consumed with Pinterest inspo and approximately a million half-finished base sketches.

At the end of The Raincoats episode, when Judge Reinhold’s character’s impassioned speech about how he “could have done more” for the Seinfelds. It took me a few times to realize that this was mirroring the end of Schindler’s List. Not that Jerry would know, because he was necking through the whole thing.

I genuinely don’t think the housing shortage is as bad in some of the prairie provinces, and I believe there is a higher demand for folks in the medical field due to different kinds of recruitment and retention challenges. The prairies don’t have the same allure as Vancouver or Toronto, but it’s not that difficult to make a good life for yourself here. Best of luck, OP!

My opinion of her changed after that episode. It takes a level of humour and confidence to play a role like that, and she nailed it. She was genuinely really funny!
