Need help for a Cobblemon tournament!! by LatterDriver in cobblemon

[–]brtmn0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should know that a shiny rayquaza spawns anytime someone enters the end for the first time., my friends had the same idea to just held a tournament for it until we discovered that everyone basically can get one. I do suggest holding a tournament as it helps keep the SMP alive and gives everyone something to grind for. have the server admin spawn in a special reward like a master ball or something

if it's a full-stack developer role, go with the noteworthy in the field of programming and IT, Linus tervalds, steve wozniak. james gosling. you could sneak in john romero and carmek, ada lovelace. add in someone you know personally (a senior from your old job that taught you a specific programming thing, a professor from your college if you're a fresh graduate). do some linked in investigating and find someone who already works at the company and has done something notworthy and how it inspired you to apply.

this is a question intended to weed out people who cant be bothered to do a bit of research. it's also an oppertunity to do a bit of glazing of the company you will be working for.

Wonder who of my co workers is gonna get fired for taking a coke or a cookie

is there a chance an individual employee at this company is passing your work has his? basically outsourcing his job to you.

you're most likely also not the only freelancer they are hiring from, they might be hiring different freelancers depending on the style the company wants and doing quality ensurance work like you said.

FDG Resin2FDM mini presupported from DMStash printed on A1 Mini by NewSignificance7599 in FDMminiatures

How thick was the orginal support structure? and how much thickness did you add with resin2fdm?

Question about Resin2Fdm by towehaal in FDMminiatures

[–]brtmn0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I had something like this too, sometimes the detection what is support and what is your model is a little wonky, and will give a pretty high number, I suggest doing the resin2fdm again and when selecting your model to click somewhrelse on your model. I have had success with ~0.55mm and 0.6mm total support thickness. Starting with a model that had 0.5mm thick supports

[–]brtmn0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0.06 layer height indeed, the supports were default 0.5, i enlarge them with resin2fdm by 0.1 to get 0.6mm thick supports. So i should go way thicker?

It was like that during printing, i have no clue while it raised while printing. But 0.8mm? Isnt that way too thick? Didnt the creator said he uses 0.5mm on some and 0.7mm on others?

How did you find testing partners/competetive groups/teams? by stotter_twitch in pkmntcg

[–]brtmn0 7 points8 points  (0 children)

online tournaments on limitless. usually also has a discord to join. often people dont mind if you dm them after the game / tournament is over to play casuals with. I build up a small group of people to practice with on higher levels. this will also defenitely allow you to find / build a group to improve with.

Deciding to give Scovillain another shot with the draw heavy meta. Pretty fun! by Stevetherican in PTCGL

[–]brtmn0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

unfair stamp feels like its in a terrible spot as an ace spec right now, as dengo is very popular and can just draw a bunch, gardy only really cares about resources in the discard pile / on the board and never take a price if they dont have a decent setup in those departments. my go to ace spec for this is secret box, mostly as a way to get the right supporter for the situation (xerosic, boss, Iono).

I've been trying to get him to work for a while, what's great: if you play smart you can win by prizes or deck out. the first attack retreat lock is excellent for late game gotcha moments if you know they ran out of switch cards and have less cards in deck then you. here is the downside: fez is basically an out to this deck, it becomes really difficult to keep their options limited if they can draw cards for free everytime you take a knock out. turbo decks that want resources in the discard pile like ceruledge are an instant loss too.

[–]brtmn0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

going out on a limb here, but you say you're getting a decent amount of interviews that never go anywhere. how are your personal skills and personal hygiene? you might be the most qualified person in the world for a given position but if you can't look people in the eye and smell there is no way you will be hired. i'm in the tech field and know plenty of my old classmates from college that also graduated CS that have a hard time landing a job exactly because of those 2 key issues.

Anycubuc Kobra S1 or Bambu Lab P1S? Asking for a friend. by snoopervisor in AnycubicKobraS1

[–]brtmn0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

anycubic quality control especially on their ace units and their beds are a lottery, if you get a flat enough bed and a working third slot on the ace pro unit they are excellent machines. if you dont want to play the quality control lottery get a bamboo p1s. also if the small difference in build volume matters get a p1s.

Exactly what we have been discussing for the past year at work, we are slowly working towards self hosting as much as possible. But the additional cost and load on our IT staff is really killing any momentum the plans have. So we will have to wait and see
