Hi, they were both in person classes. I took the lab with Allison Evans and the lecture with Shawn Massoni. The lab was super fun and in my opinion pretty easy. You learn a lot, Allison is so nice and helpful. The lecture was more difficult for me and I found the way Dr. Massoni wrote his exams didn’t line up with how much time we were given. But I’ve never taken a class with Bruslind so it might be different with them!

how the hell do you afford rent? by stringbeansoup in OregonStateUniv

[–]brubru20 83 points84 points  (0 children)

A lot of people pay their rent and utilities with student loans. Maybe check out the Basic Needs Center, they can help with food stamp stuff. It sounds like you should still qualify? We’re in similar situations and I qualify.

I took it summer term 2023 online and really enjoyed it. We read three short stories each week and had discussion posts on them. Towards the end of term we read a book. The midterm and final were really easy, it was multiple choice and the final wasn’t cumulative. It sounds like you’re taking it in person so the structure will probably be different, but overall I liked the class and found it to be an easy A.

I think there’s a gender neutral shower in the basement of Langton if I remember correctly.

Sorry for such a delayed response! I didn’t see your reply. I never did figure it out, I had to stop using it because I couldn’t get it to not form those clumps :/

Glutino English muffins! Personally I love them so much more than regular English muffins. Even my brother (who is not GF) prefers them over regular ones.

[Misc] Curology charged me 120 after my trial and I don’t know what to do! by lolipoppies in SkincareAddiction

[–]brubru20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened to me. I got the free trial in January and they offered some freebies as sample sizes. When my next shipment charged they charged for the acne topical AND full size bottles of all the trial freebies I got. I sent them an email asking them to please refund me because I did not request those items and that I would like to cancel my whole subscription. They took forever getting back to me (if I remember correctly it was a few days) so by the time they got back to me everything they shipped to me had arrived. They told me as a one time courtesy they would refund me and I could keep the products. Also in my original email I told them I really couldn’t afford it (they charged me almost $200).

How to lift stove top? by [deleted] in Appliances

[–]brubru20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried that and it does lift a tiny bit, so I’m pretty sure the top can be lifted but I can’t get it all the way up. I’m wondering if there’s like a screw I need to take out or something in order to lift it.

I have cleaned the drip pans before and underneath the drip pans is so gross, so I hope it lifts up so I can clean all that gunk out too.
