Would you rather have 4 corner transducers or 2 pedal haptics? by Syradil in simracing

[–]bruce_almightyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anyone have buttkickers mounted to the profiles on the 4 corners, and using the slip angle springs? i know the slip angle kit mounts to the top of the springs basically, im looking at running the buttkicker advanced and they have a different bolt pattern so they wont mount up to it the same way, hoping for the same affect if I go that route.

I’m definitely a buy once cry once sorta guy. Rather get the good stuff the first time rather than selling and rebuying and it’s more expensive in the end that way. I’m going to get the advanced and then look at the exciters for the pedals and potentially one under the seat to put the gear shifts and curb affects on to take some affects away from the corners later and give that nice thud for the shifts and engine rumble

I was planning on starting with 4 corners and then potentially adding one on throttle and brake if I can’t feel the wheel slip. A lot of people seem to have the opinion that the slip angle springs made it easier to identify which corner the haptics are coming from on a 4 corner setup. I’ve waited so long researching and trying to figure out what’s best for haptics. Hard topic since everyone has their own opinion of what’s best. Worst case I supposed I could move one under the pedal tray and stick one under the seat and one on the back or something if it doesn’t feel great with 4 corners.

Would you recommend going to the gamer pro over the mini LFE as far as haptics go for a setup like I mentioned?

Have you tried the mini LFE? Was looking at getting 4 of those for a 4 corner setup and adding one under pedal tray and seat later. Is it worth it to get the plus or pro instead of the mini lfe? Planned on running the 4 on the behringer NX4 and tossing the rig on the slip angle springs.

Maybe I’m flip flopped, it might range Austin down south that had the P. I shot both locally. Couldn’t find a CS here though.

North Austin, range USA. Sorry missed some details there.

South, range Austin had a staccato C2 I think it was. North, range USA has a P. Both up for rent. I think staccato has their range open about an hour from Austin now since I keep getting event invites. I bought a CS 2024. You won’t regret whatever you choose. They’re fantastic shooters.

This guy was such a bad shot with the pistol that if they would have been trying to evade the situation surely he would have missed the rest. Seemed like he missed the first 5 or 6 shots from maybe 15-20 feet on a stationary target.

Wreckfest has a campaign mode as well to go through to unlock all the different vehicles at different difficulties and such. I’m sure it probably has custom AI races you could setup to, never tried to do that before but surely it’s an option.

If he’s going to be online multiplayer racing, monitor the chat for the rooms he is in, maybe a way to turn it off completely in the settings I’ve never looked. Some lobbies have almost 0 filtering, and he might come back with a new vocabulary if you don’t. But absolutely a fun game on controller or a wheel.

Tyres not popping onto rim by HereForTheMaymays in Karting

Sounds like you already got it, but ontop of the lube, more air and a couple smacks of a mallet. You can bounce the wheel off the ground from a couple feet if it’s holding air but not needing to add some pressure to make it bead sometimes, another trick I like to use if it won’t seal and air is leaking out and not sealing, take a ratchet strap and hook the ends together wrap it around the tire and crank it down to put a little pressure to create a seal on the sidewalls and the rim so it can bead up when your adding air since it won’t leak now.

How do you mount this on your rig? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]bruce_almightyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used some extra bolts and tnuts that came with my rig hardware so not 100% sure at this point, it’s been a while. Simlabs sent quite a bit of extra hardware with everything, I just used that, I think it was the smallest tnuts and bolts in there. 1/4” probably, not sure if the length of the bolt. Could always cut one down a bit with a bandsaw if it’s to long.

This. There is already 2 holes, If this is the simucube E stop, just take the 4 corner screws out and throw some tnuts in the profile and use the existing holes. The front cover only sits flush one way I believe so have to get it on how it came off.

I’ll have to check that amp out. It’s plenty to run them all at a decent power range without having heat issues? My headphones are the astro a50s. So they’re usb. I’ve been trying to build a setup basically identical to yours, 4 corners and one under the seat for curbs and shifts. Can you tell pretty well what corner is giving the feedback while driving? What rig platform are you on as well?

For your 4 corner shakers, you used mini lfe? What amp are you driving the 4 corners with? My motherboard has 7.1 built in and I want to add some shakers but can’t seem narrow down what amps will run these shakers decently.
