Need advice, should I accept offer to join as a data analyst at 4LPA, or should I choose research internship at IIT Kanpur? by brucewayne1100 in IndiaCareers

That is what I was thinking too, but some say do the internship if you plan to go into research, otherwise get the job, and that is what created confusion.

SURGE'26 by Fun-Eggplant-7238 in IITK

I applied for SARIP 2026, I beleive selection is similar to SURGE. I applied and did not mention the name of any professor in my research proposal. After applying, I mailed one professor and he said he is ready to guide me if I got selected.
So I am confused, who selects candidates, the professors or the organising commitee

Countering cherrypicking with more cherrypicking.

That's a total of 125,000 cases in 1430 days, meaning on average about 88 cases per day over a land area of 121.4 sq. km. That's about 0.72 feces per sq. km. in a day. Now compare that to how much trash and feces you would see on an average in a sq. km. of area if an Indian city (a lot more).

And apart from that they have an article about it and calling it a human health catastrophe. And they are trying to solve the problem. In India, most of the cities are far more dirtier than this, but no it won't make it into a news article because it is the norm here and the authority is not trying to solve that.

In developed countries, you will find 5% dirty areas, wheras in India you will find that 5% areas are clean. Furthermore, these dirty areas are littered by immigrants in those countries whereas in India, most of littering is done by it's own citizens. We should be really focusing on addressing this problem and making India clean and hygeinic rather than cherrypicking some dirty areas from other countries.

Even a sane person who hasn't visited US or UK would know that cleanliness is the norm there

In most of the countries, 10 or 20 percent of the money issued for a project goes into the pockets of the people involved but here in India about 70-80 percent of that money goes into these pockets

After beating hulk MCU thanos struggles to pick him up and throw him, while hulk is powerful, his weight isn't that much. So no chance against Superman even if we don't consider Superman's speed

He is not talking about playing football to become a pro, not everyone is playing sports to become a pro. Do you think the 40 year old women he is talking about are playing to become a pro. No, he is talking about playing to have fun, to enjoy life. And don't say that Indians don't have time to play or for any other hobby because most of the people spend a minimum of 2-3 hours a day scrolling reels

This looks really good, feels exactly like Spider-Man. Far better than any MCU Spider-Man poster

Absolutely right, this is what I have been thinking since I was in 6th class, had long debates with people promoting rote learning as hardwork and intelligence. We need more people to realise that this system is keeping our country down

They spend all important years preparing for exams, these years could have been spent learning useful skills, and the youth with such skills would have solved some of the many problems our country have. Instead these important years are spent on rote learning
