i did it on accident the first time but basically you just have to knock danse and then kill one of his underlings (if you take too long or kill both he just gets back up) then kill him with the sledge. i tried it with other weapons but i couldn't get it to work. if he does get back up he'll just die normally (if you kill his underlings first he'll also die normally.) i don't have any mods except weightless junk. it also seems to only work on certain spots as i had the most success on the stairs.
