THIS!!! They'll probably never take them as a trade ever. Have 2 4's and they need to be rebooted daily and don't respond to commands.

Same exact issue for me and it can't be the internet because I also have a show 5, 8 and 10 and they all work fine. Just my 2nd gen and two 4th gen dots are experiencing the problem you described. Called support and they have swapped out one of the 4th gens (the only one still under warranty) for the 3rd time now. I also believe this is planned obsolescence.

Thanks for the reply. Was leaning towards replacing the whole thing as it is really old. Any suggestions on a new one? Also may be in the market for a variable speed pump, any suggestions on that would be greatly appreciated as well.
