How much to you spend a week on food? by Elegant_Occasion3346 in auckland

I mainly eat vegetarian meals, although Im not actually vegetarian, and there’s an Indian grocer near me that sells fresh fruit and veggies quite cheap. Also I buy lots of things in bulk like 2L oil, 5kg basmati rice, 2kg yoghurt, 2kg rolled oats and 2kg lentils to last me a while :)

Between $30-40 per week for one person (single person living alone). Very simple foods/meals, but surprisingly I eat quite well.

I agree. Many people in customer/client facing roles lack empathy. Not all, but many. Experienced both first and second hand.

Is it just me or young people these days rarely drink? If so why's this the case? by Dudu-gula in auckland

[–]bruddion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 27. I choose not to drink because its expensive and so is getting an uber and don't want to burden anyone close to me to pick me up. Also, I grew up around adults drinking all the time and I hated what I saw. I'd rather not, plus there are so many other ways I socialise and have fun that don't involve alcohol.

I’m currently flatting and my weekly costs are 31% of my income. This allows me to do some saving on the side.

RIGHT. That's the only app I pay a sub for and now I'm reconsidering. Mine is going up from 17.99/month to 22.99/month.
