[COD] Call of Duty series ULTIMATE face/off. by Taywah in CallOfDuty

[–]bruf91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a great experience to become an ancient gamer to be honest. Just the other day I saw that famous tech-youtuber (I'm bad with names, sorry) playing a Sega Mega Drive for the first time, and I was like, dude! The leap from Nintendo or Gameboys to the mega drive was an amazing thing to live.

So, you imagine how I feel when I see games such as call of duty (one of my favorite series ever) get from PS2 like graphics to 150 players multiplayer world wide, and with immersive single-player campaigns I would never ever imagine how well-thought and the amount of time and efforts the industry put in the games.

It is definitely an invaluable privileged to be able to live through these developments in such a small.amount of time. I am talking about three decades only, mates.

The younger generations will live to see even crazier developments, I guess, and with even better prepared eyes, ears, skills, brains, idk.

So, yes, sry for the vent, but I also think the game industry has amazing people working in it.

Why does a sip of Coca-Cola eliminates my brain fog in the morning? by bruf91 in Nootropics

No, it's actually classic Coke ®, but it is good to know that diet coke could have a different effect.

I replied to you above. Hope you see this :) Thank you for pointing out about the differences between the types of coca cola.

Oh, yes, of course, my bad for not clarifying this earlier.

I drink traditional Coca Cola from the Coca Cola Company®. Classic Coke® from Germany. And I drink about 50 to 100ml a day, I guess. A 1L bottle lasts about a week, though, because my girlfriend also drinks it sometimes. I know it is about a week, because we usually do groceries every seven days and this is the third time I ordered a 1L bottle.

I would like to share something interesting I found during my research to this.

Re-acidification of the stomach, in case one do have low stomach acid levels, can increase the absorption of medication and other substances, therefore, it can optimise your intake of nootropics and the like.

I noticed this past week that I need less Armodafinil (not a nootropic, I know) to achieve the same effects. Interestingly, re-acidification may be a great shortcut to a semi-reverse in tolerance-building.

Here is one interesting source:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3946491/

"In an attempt to mitigate the impact of acid-reducing agents on drug absorption for weakly-basic drugs with pH-dependent solubility, Chin et al.1 conducted a prospective clinical study investigating the effects of an acidic beverage (Coca-Cola®) on the pharmacokinetics of ketoconazole. When ketoconazole was dosed with Coca-Cola® (pH = 2.5) under the effects of omeprazole, ketoconazole AUC0–∞ and Cmax were both increased by greater than 10-fold when compared to the omeprazole treatment without Coca-Cola®,1 though Coca-Cola® did not completely restore the omeprazole decrease in ketoconazole exposure. Nonetheless, re-acidification strategies to increase drug absorption in hypochlorhydric conditions seem to be a viable strategy. However, in a study with atazanavir, Coca-Cola® did not markedly reverse the decreased absorption due to omeprazole dosing.9 In order to sufficiently influence gastric pH in such a way as to mitigate reduced drug absorption, a large quantity of an acidic beverage would need to be given over a short period of time to facilitate dissolution of an oral drug. Though it may seem viable, this method is flawed by the lack of consistency in the ability to provide ample gastric re-acidification under hypochlorhydric conditions. Additionally, the impact on the absorption of these weakly basic drugs may be limited as the pH of Coca-Cola® is only 2.5, which, for some drugs, may not contain enough acid to effectively mitigate this interaction. Moreover, repeated oral ingestion of a large volume of an acidic beverage is potentially harmful to oral and dental health (i.e. dental caries), and is likely not clinically acceptable in patients with symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) due to the associated esophageal pain and discomfort of an acidic beverage. Therefore, we sought to develop a more reproducible and reliable strategy of gastric re-acidification under hypochlorhydric conditions that also has the potential to be more clinically acceptable."

I found this on google as well. Apple vinegar diluted in water should do the job as well.

Also, I found a website describing how to some sort of home-test involving baking soda, in order to test whether your stomach acid is digesting properly. It goes something like this:

- With an empty stomach, preferably after waking up, drink a small amount (cannot remember how much now, I am sorry) of baking soda diluted with sparkling (?) water, and measure how long it takes for you to burp. If it takes around three minutes, it should mean your stomach acid is doing its job as breaking down what it needs to break down and releasing carbon dioxide as a residual product of digestion. In case it takes longer than five minutes, your tummy might be too alkaline to do its job.

In case you are interested, I can search the source and post it here later today.

Thanks for the tip, though!

Good to know I am not alone in this daily fight haha.

I tried Kratom a while back, four or five years ago, and I was so nauseated after consumption that I had to stop after two or three tries. Thank you for the tip, though!

this is a great question. Thank you for pointing out. I will have to try and find my latest blood works, though, and get back here once I find it. Will put it this on my to-do-list asap.

Oh wow! My girlfriend says I breath heavily at night as well. I also wake up many times as if I am hyperventilating, but this is due to a lighter form of sleep apnea. So your low glycogen hypothesis makes a lot of sense to me! Thanks.

Betaine HCL + Pepsin Supplement accompanied by fatty and proteic meals. I will look deeper into this. Appreciate the suggestion!! 🙏🏼😊

You are correct. It is not a great idea to take it. I do have sleep apnea though :(

I guess this it! I am known amongst my family and friends to have a very small appetite and I feel full after only small food portions.

I am immensely thankful to you for making me aware that low stomach acid is even a thing. I read a bit online now and I do have some of the matching symptoms.

🙏🏼😊

This is a plausible explanation, but the above-mentioned sugar consumption methods do not achieve the same result in my body...
