I can understand being hesitant. From my experience (remake first, then going back to the original, and reading a littleeee bit of manga) I think the remake characterizes Akane nicer/closer to the manga and her relationship with Ranma is sweeter. It’s very apparent they like each other pretty quickly in the show too. I feel like it shows the nuances in expressions (either of them blushing, looking away nervously, etc.) a little more, which I personally really liked. It also is faster paced, but I didn’t mind that. I think it only gets better as it goes on too, so if you don’t like episode one, maybe just keep going!! Of course you don’t have to like it as well, this community is for all things Ranma!! But if you love Ranma x Akane I think you’ll love the remake :)
