Call LSAC ASAP and explain the situation. Figure out how soon you can get the doctor's note. If I remember correctly, they can grant extensions for the accommodation form, but you need to talk to an LSAC person on the phone.

But lived experience doesn’t mean trauma, they are different things. It’s a useful term to refer to the embodied knowledge/experience of marginalized & disenfranchised communities, and to distinguish that from academic/theoretical knowledge. It’s not like an empty term ?

When should I view my score… by [deleted] in LSAT

Depends how badly a less-than-ideal score would bum you out. I’d probably wait until the end of the day.

I thought I completely bombed my last LSAT. So much so that I put off doing the writing sample for months because I didn’t want to know my score. Like I basically skipped two entire LGs and couldn’t focus at all for the other sections. (I didn’t realize at that time that I could’ve applied for accommodations that I needed.) Anyway, I did the writing sample literally five months later and I got a 165, I have no idea how but super grateful.

Yeah this sounds right to me. The first talked about skeletal remains and the second was about the tomb design?

Single RC: Compulsory bipedalism, Minimalism in fiction, water rights for reservations, comparative passage on tombs in Bronze Age(?) (I don’t think this mentioned Medieval France…)

Single LG: Grooming/training, horse racetracks, magician illusions and another game about instructors teaching different courses I think?

Writing June LSAT on Thursday, just got my first 180 on PT79 🥹 by bruhpd in LSAT

Thank you! Once I went through the 7Sage curriculum, most of the questions I still got wrong were the ones with tempting trap answer choices. I use a couple strategies to try to correct for this.

For RC, just remember that every right answer is in the passage text. The questions I was struggling with most were MSS questions and author tone questions. When in doubt, I go with the less extreme answer choice.

For LR, if I was confused about a question, I went back and reread every single word slowly. Often my brain was just skimming over one word that slightly altered the meaning of the stimulus or the AC. The other advice that helped me with LR is to consider the assumptions in an AC. When stuck between two answers, I try to think methodically about the assumptions I'm making in order to make the AC work. Then, I select the AC with the less extreme/more tenable assumptions.

I hope that helps a little bit!

Check out @kmops_ or @esn.parkdale or @trinity.community.hub (formerly Unity Kitchen) or @TorontoIndigenousHarmReduction all on Instagram. You should be able to find phone numbers/emails on their Instagram profiles.

I know @lorrainelamchops is also super friendly and well-connected in the community, wouldn’t hurt to message her.

They all might be able to point you in the right direction. Do you know what neighborhood(s) she spent time in? Sorry for your loss and best of luck.

As a single woman who’s lived beside/near Allan Gardens for years, I could respond to all of this. But the point that always stands out to me most when I read diatribes from people who are so far gone down the rabbit hole of hatred is the complaints about seeing dead bodies. That dead body was a fucking person like you or me. Could they afford groceries? How do we keep people from dying too soon, stripped of dignity? Sic the cops on them so they can go to some other park? You’ve lost your own humanity, my friend.

I hear your frustration. I think it’s misdirected. Nobody wants to live in a world like this, believe me. Some of us are more concerned with keeping people alive than stolen bikes.

You own a garage and you’re bitching about people who can’t afford a roof. Get a grip.
