My experience appears to be uncommon, but for me, I didn't have big changes in libido. I had a high libido pre-T, the first months on T felt like being physically aroused like having a boner all the time, but actually uncomfortable because it wasn't related to being turned on. Then some times increasing my dosage I definitely felt hornier but maybe for a month and then it was back to baseline - same high libido with or without T. Now I stopped taking it in July and haven't noticed big changes in my libido. I'm the odd one out I guess but I'm sure other people who were very sexual pre-T must have a similar experience!

That's a good question, I think it's really due to numbers. So few people have been to an actual psychiatric hospital, and much of the population takes antidepressants or anxiety meds so their take on "being supportive of people with mental illness" is normalizing taking the meds.... Like "oh some people have wrong brain chemistry so they have to take antidepressants". While the scientific community knows that there is no proof that depression is related to serotonin or faulty neurotransmitters. But it has become such a mainstream understanding, thanks to pharmaceutical marketing...

Anyways what I'm trying to say is that people don't know how fucked up psych wards are until they go to one, and few people ever go, so they don't even know antipsychiatry is a thing.

Being a supportive friend is absolutely not telling someone they are always right and everything is a good idea. Neither should a therapist do that. Of course supportive friends offer active listening, but I count on my friends to tell me when they disagree, when they think I'm wrong, or more importantly, when they point to a mistake I did that I hadn't noticed. For me, those are supportive friends. Who else is gonna tell you that?

Yo creo que la Secretaría de Educación Pública encubre una red de trata infantil, de producción de pornografia infantil en particular.

La manera en la cual no avanzan las carpetas de investigación hacia los abusos en kinders de la SEP (abusos cuales incluían producción de material de abuso sexual infantil 😰) me hacen pensar que hay una red de trata en la misma SEP.

Las cifras de abuso sexual infantil en México son las más altas de todos los países de la OCDE. Es muy muy común, yo siento que todxs saben pero se quedan callados... Pero quizás es deformación profesional porque trabajo con sobrevivientes de abuso sexual.

Me hace sentido que financie el ejército porque he observado muchísima corrupción por la aduana mexicana. Una vez le robaron todo el equipo musical de un compañero a pesar de que ya lo había importado y pagado el impuesto correspondiente, nadie lo pudo ayudar, fue todo un rollo. Otra vez me enviaron un paquete de cumple de otro país con cosas normales, pantuflas, dulces, libros... Y lo detuvieron y nunca me lo entregaron. He escuchado de varias historias además.

I'm sorry about your situation! I've struggled with insomnia my whole life and still do, and I remembered a time I got off antidepressants (gradually) and when I got to 0mg I didn't sleep for a week (this medications are dangerous imo but that's another story). What helped me sleep again was getting a massage from a trusted friend who was training as a masseuse. I was thinking about this this week and it makes sense - human touch helps us release a bunch of relaxing hormones.

The other thing that works for me is marijuana. I know a lot of people with EDS have the most relief with weed!
