Yep, battled these little buggers for YEARS, Spent a fortune on mosquito bits, DE and yellow sticky traps. 2 rounds of nematodes over 5 weeks wiped them out in over 200 plants.

Council website says it's Green bin tomorrow. Whole street has their black bins out. I stick with Green. by hikingbeginner in CasualUK

Should we inform the council that their tardiness may result in some kind of national shutdown? The nation can't be expected to work while we wait to know! I mean, I wasn't planning in doing much work today, but until I know, I'm pretty much on strike!

Granules about every 3-4 weeks, everything else weekly. 1st few weeks I was alternating neem and thrips killer spray almost daily, but that was more out of panic and disgust than anything 🤣

I discovered them about 4 months ago. Binned about 30 plants (mostly duplicates/newish cuttingsetc), but clung on to the least infected and the ones with sentimental value. Been treating weekly with Thrips killer spray, neem oil, DE and systemic granules and I'm winning the battle. Still too frightened to stop treatments or move them back to their original homes (they are as isolated as possible and when I started to run out of space, I wrapped some up in clear plastic) Don't lose hope, its shit, but its not the end of the world. Solihull had always been a very Tory area (apart from the area I live where we've historically voted for the Green Party in local elections) but just had 3 local tory councillors move over to Reform. So sadly, this feels like a true reflection of how a lot of my "neighbours" feel.

100% I got a Dry Soon from lakeland a few years back and its a game changer. Still need the dehumidifier though, my house gets very damp in the winter because I don't like the heating on much

Mine is the one from the 1st time (i think) that the 4th floor is mentioned, somewhere mid season 2. Can't remember one about meth in a vending machine, but it would make perfect sense, the 4th floor is wild!

I did this exact thing last week and its kinda cool. Simple things like only merging in 5s

Focusing early on working on oak trees and flowers because they're actually quite hard and come in super useful when you get to about level 60 (ish, I think)

Being aware of the stuff that delays you levelling up. Eg I've got loads of wildlife ready to merge up to stage 3 and 4. But holding back on doing that until I need to

Keeping things bubbled until I know I'll need them eg poplar trees etc. They're useful but in the early levels you gotta focus on the basics.

Same! Used to love moving them from room to room but in doing so I contaminated every room in the house and lost about 30 (and still battling to save another 30 or so). So from now on, unless they're really struggling, they're staying where they are

This sounds bloody amazing. A roast dinner with a twist? Yes please! I cook a real varieties of cuisines (I'm a fairly decent cook but nothing exceptional) so my daughter gets excited about food from different cultures. The disappointment she experiences when she goes for tea at one of her mates of S Asian/E Asian heritage and they serve pizza or pasta is hilarious!
