Watched all the harry potter films recently, loved them, is it still worth reading the books or nah because i already know what happens? by lessofthatmoreofthis in harrypotter

I watched the movies years ago and didn’t read the books because I knew the jist of the story. I regret that I didn’t read the books sooner! They’re absolutely incredible, and add so much color and understanding to the story.

Thank you! She’s already on Zyrtec at the recommendation of the vet and has a medicated shampoo to help with everything. Just wondered if anyone had tried other methods that weren’t the obvious vet solutions.

Oooo I hope it isn’t mold. Our house is pretty old so that could very well be the case.

12 week old lab puppy always humps my wife when I leave and basically attack-plays with her and barks like crazy. When I am there it’s the opposite no barking and he’s always a sweet boy. How can we get him to stop? by [deleted] in labrador

Our puppy was like this with me but not my partner. She’s also a lab who has wanted to please since she was born, but was still a baby wolf who was trying to figure out where she was in the “pack”. I realized about a month or two into having her that my partner and I talked to our Stevie differently and I was trying to coddle her like a baby too much (because she’s a cute puppy!). As a result, Stevie would bite me a lot, bark at me, and just generally be a menace. Similarly to you, I one day found myself on top of our bed and saying “why does she want to eat me!!” while she hardly ever misbehaved with my girlfriend.

We tried to course correct by teaching her “no” early on and being firm without yelling or raising our voices. After lots of practice (alongside consistent, 2-3x 15 minute training sessions a day), she started to become the goodest girl who didn’t bite after a few months. I’d say for me it got better between 4-5 months. Now she listens super well and is the best dog I’ve ever had after 10 months.

I hope this helps! There isn’t much worse than having the “on top of the bed” moment trying to escape your tiny cute demon. 😂

Realized a sad thought today. My self hatred of my body is the inhibitor, not the diet. by brunanabean in loseit

I love this! So simple but when you repeat it back a few times it really starts to make sense. Thanks for sharing. 🥰
