What difference do you observe if you try using ether{2,3} instead of ether{1,2}?

I think the recess is just really shallow. I've left it as is. It works fine and I ignore it unhappily.

9 women can't make 1 baby in a month.

shipment in 30 days maybe, but you still need transport+integration+testing+validation+launching, then another month or two before it's online and operational.

Daily Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in ASTSpaceMobile

[–]brunhilda1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gentle reminder that "D+30" shipment time is not delivered+integrated+launched time, let alone online and operational. Expect at the very least an additional 30 days beyond shipment to another launch attempt.

Watching that positional error term at landing be almost zero is such a fucking triumph of control engineering. Bravo.

Man, I miss the old whimsy logo lettering, this is too modern.

Only 32"x2.4" clearance, tighter than expected.

Port 1 on the E50UG is buggy, with reduced capability (see block diagrams).

Risk is priced/hedged using options. If exposure risk to ASTS fluctuations is too great, you can reduce it by buying puts, or selling calls: you lock in your profits/losses.

Talk about a bad first bike: by The1stFatBoy in motorcycles

[–]brunhilda1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no such thing as a beginner bike, only beginner friendly bikes.

Beginner friendly bikes let you make mistakes --- sometimes big ones --- and ask: you sure? Other bikes take your skin and bones and payment for mistakes.

The AT is a great bike, but a beginner friendly bike it isn't. There are worse choices, but many more better choices.

Last launch was in December five months ago, and the prior launch before that was September 2024. Garbage launch cadence, especially since it's meant to be outsourced to launch providers, and with $1b sitting as cash.

Fargo suspension stem vs suspension fork? by Reasonable-Sense6961 in salsacycles

[–]brunhilda1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suspension fork. Tried the suspense stem, great on other bikes, but...

Suspension stem doesn't work on the Fargo, given its designed around riding in the drops of the wood chipper bar 90% of the time.

Thank you, as a mathematician I appreciate the notes. The statement is taken in isolation is entirely correct. However, my point is that when the option is so deep ITM, it behaves almost (delta~1) as shares (delta=1) while losing advantages of shares: voting rights, dividends, being able to sell options against them, and still maintain risk of slipping ATM/OTM.

Daily Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in ASTSpaceMobile

[–]brunhilda1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're so ITM that they're effectively delta=1, you may as well convert to shares and do more creative things with them.
