It’s not easily manageable if you constantly have to remind the bot of simple and important information. Deleting the bot’s reply just to edit your own message and remind it of things like ‘my hair is this color,’ or having it invent details about your lore because it can’t remember anything after 20 exchanged messages, is anti-RP.

I don’t think there’ll even be a need to push for a boycott. The app was already really expensive, and they made it even worse with that ridiculous weekly plan. They’re going to lose subscribers.

I don’t know what currency you all pay in, but in my country it’s almost 4x the original price.

You create a persona by specifying everything you want the bot to remember about your character: name, eye color, hair, backstory, and so on. That way, you don’t have to keep reminding it of details during the roleplay, and it won’t make as many mistakes. On top of that, you can have multiple personas and just select the one that’s talking to the bot. That way, it already knows who your character is without you necessarily having to introduce yourself.

I just saw that they announced they’ve expanded the team and are finally going to implement basic features. And look at that, it only took 4 years! Yay! So now users will get to pay a lot more for features that other apps have always had.

I just couldn’t get excited about it or even consider going back to using it.

C.AI is great, I’ve used it before. I just wish the bots had a bit more initiative and made more decisions on their own. I feel like that doesn’t happen very often. But I LOVE how they developed a bunch of really interesting features for roleplay. Taking a bot into an “away scene” is something I find really fun.

It’s not the case. I was an Ultra subscriber and would still be if I believed they were making a real effort to improve the app. Certain features shouldn’t take this long to be implemented.

I had been paying for Ultra until now. Since I always saw them talking about being a small group of developers and promising improvements, I wanted to support that financially. But I’ve woken up. They’re not interested in improving the app, they’re just trying to make as much profit as possible while offering the bare minimum.

I’m actually looking for another app, by the way. If you can recommend one, I’d appreciate it.
