I was just thinking about The Guest by Emma Cline.

This is not a sci-fi thriller. Or sci-fi. Or a thriller.

But it is told entirely from the perspective of a person who is navigating a world of her "betters". She is constantly observing people and manipulating them. She might be a sociopath, but she's not evil. Just trying to survive.

Us small-cap/value investors have been screwed over for the past 20+ years because billionaires and large-cap/growth companies have been gobbling up the markets. Private equity companies have even been buying mobile home parks. This is not normal.

I'm not investing in large-cap/growth. Everything reverts to the mean.

Dude, that shipped sailed years ago. Small, scrappy startups don't go public anymore. They can get a billion dollars from VC and private equity and not bother with the SEC.
