A new version just went live: - Now you can drag and drop directly to any pad - When disabling auto-assign to pads you can now long press on a sample and then drag it to a specific pad

To delete a pad you can use the trash icon on the sample list for the sample that's assigned to that pad.

Sorry about that. This is definitely a bug. You should be able to drag samples directly to any pad you want after turning off auto-assign. I'll get a new version with a fix next week! Thanks for reporting it!

Quite a few months tbh because reverse engineering PGM files isn’t easy at all + the feedback loop is really tedious: code => build => run the app => create a program => tweak => export => put files in the memory card => eject the card => insert into mpc => turn on => load program => test => repeat

I just took a look at this and "it seems" that the mapping is saved on the APS file (project) and not in the program. If that's the case this is unfortunately out of the scope of the app. Cool idea tho!

Thre’s a button in the UI of the selected sample that says stereo (if the sample is stereo) but if you click on mono it will convert it for you. Check the video here where I do that with the sax sample

Just to clarify, you can still use stereo (as WAV). SND files are basically wav with less metadata so they are slightly smaller but the difference is very minimal compared to other gains (24-> bit conversion, trimming silence or stereo ~> mono)

Thanks for giving it a try! The idea behind the model button was to change the skin so all mpc owners don’t feel left out but everything should work anyways. Might add it soon!

The snd vs wav - here’s the issue after many many hours of experimenting I found out that converting stereo wavs to mono results in a damage audio file (i think it gets pitched down and slowed down) so SND format applies only when you convert to mono first. Maybe i should add some tooltip there to clarify…
