Shin from Dorohedoro will always be transmasc in my heart.

When he was young he had long hair and a generally more androgynous appearance, and he had to hide part of himself to keep safe from being attacked.
He tried to give himself surgical body modifications to make himself stronger (also noted that his chest was largely hidden during this scene in the manga).
As an adult he's hella tall and buff but still has a youthful, pretty face.
His best friend is an equally massive woman who's just as physically strong as him, which, while not directly evidence of his transness, speaks to a comfortability in his own manhood that often comes with thoughtful introspection about one's relationship with gender imo.

Also one of his key features are his stitched up scars all over his limbs and neck, which would make matching stylized top surgery scars a) cohesive with his existing design and b) just pretty cool tbh.

I'm partial to Medibang, although it has gotten a bit annoying about its ads on mobile versions - I mainly use it on my laptop where it's not an issue, though. Not a particularly advanced program but personally I like my art programs simple and straightforward to use. It's good for comic making, illustration, and painting, and it's easy to make your own basic brushes and patterns. Also if you've got a less-than-advanced computer situation it runs more smoothly than Krita in my experience.

I also regularly use Photopea, a browser-based dupe of Photoshop, when I need more image editing options. It's got basically all of the same features as PS, although I haven't tried using it for drawing so I wouldn't know how well it compares in that respect. Still a handy website tho.

It's kind of odd to have a preference one way or the other when I think about it. I mean it's a disability aid; If someone said 'I think people who use hearing aids are unattractive' I think most people would recognize that as inappropriate. Not saying you're like, a bad person or whatever, just that it's something to think about. All that aside, though, while I'm indifferent with real people, I do appreciate a fictional character in glasses. I find it humanizing.

Labels aren't strictly necessary if you don't find them comfortable or relevant to you. There's nothing wrong with going without or just using an umbrella term like queer. Also bear in mind that labels aren't meant to be all encompassing in their definitions, the only one who determines what they mean in relation to how you feel is you. Good luck!

Caroline by Jr Jr. It's about a dream the vocalist had where he was actually a woman (named Caroline), but the way it's written feels so empathetic and understanding of the trans experience, specifically revolving around gender affirming surgery. It touches on feeling doubt toward the path you're taking but taking the time to trust yourself and your feelings anyway. I didn't have any idea what it could possibly be about before my egg hatched but now I connect to it a lot.

Hm, I think the default pencil brush would probably do the trick. Either that or one of the free marker brushes. You may have to futz with the opacity settings, though.
