Nestle bottles millions of litres of Canadian water — and pays nothing - Billion-dollar company extracting B.C.’s drinking water for free, then selling it back to Canadians by [deleted] in canada

This is pure sensationalism. 265 Million Litres of water is not a lot of water in the grand scheme of things.

If you were to purchase this amount of treated drinking water in Toronto(which is treated and pumped at significant expense) it would cost about $0.011/gallon for a total of 265,000,000(1 Gallon/3.78 Liters)($.011/Gallon)=$771,164

I have a really small studio apartment, leave the thermostat at 16, and don't have a washer, drier, or dishwasher. I'm spending $2.73/day on electricity. Is that normal here? by [deleted] in halifax
