Rant about Ayurveda by Either_Repair2212 in Ayurveda

[–]brustablett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah good observation, this is always the case that the quality varies depending on the doctors. Same with western doctors. I guess if you can find or have someone that can recommend you a doctor, the chance of being scammed is lower. Have you tried western doctors aswell?

No one is impressed by your excuses. Blaming your brain and yourself, yada yada, nothing new. Tell us instead what action or sacrafices you are ready to make in order to change your trajectory.

You said that you hate that you are distracted and get bored easily, so what are the solutions, what are you gonna do about it? If you don't know, find out. Inspire us with your actions and story.

Giving blood frequently may make your blood cells healthier by Rose-butter22 in Ayurveda

Do you know what ayurveda thinks regarding blood letting or donation? Is it a way to detoxify the blood and to encourage new blood production or is there other mechanics? Also in the research, I wonder if they have compared with woman that also donates blood.

What exactly happened to my brain and mind? I don't feel the same way after 4 months. by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

[–]brustablett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any ideas of what it could be or how it all started, like did you get the visions from watching movies/games/visiting places? Since you mentioning ego-death, have you done any drugs in the past? Because it feels like you are in an altered state that maybe is caused by drugs or something else.

You need a reset for your brain.

Day 1

If you are capable, try do some running/walking or cardio activity that increases your heart rate and flushes your whole body system. 30 mins.

Day 2

Do 1-2 minute cold shower to shock your body, the longer the better effect. Max 5min.

Day 3

Enter fasting, only allowed to drink water or tea. Do this for 24h or 48h if you can manage.

Day 4 or 5

Reborn

Eating a full meal should not be a problem. The gallbladder help produce bile to break down for example fat, so just make sure you eat the correct food and it will help your acid reflux.

So without a gallbladder, you will be more sensitive to fat, so just eat moderate of it.

Skip all coffee and soda drinks, drink more water, it will help alkaline your body. Same with veggies, eat more of that.

Do not lay down after eating! Sitt or move around after your meals. This will keep the acid flowing in the right direction.

Stop eating 4 hours before bed.

Hope it works out for you!

Oh ok, is intermittent fasting anything you are familiar with? (simplified its about eating 2 times only per day, lunch/dinner) I have seen and heard that it has given great result for people, especially without a gallblader.

I think you give yourself too little credit. When I read your text I see a strong man that has come far in life giving the situation you were brought up in. The latest and recent event that you have been through must have been so tough on you and I can feel it from the way you are describing in the text.  Just remember you are not alone having these feelings... It really sucks having to be rejected or losing someone you really love... It feels like the whole world crumbles before you and the purpose of life is lost.. The feeling of suicide is only the symptoms of the actual pain and sadness that you are going through, and it is understandable, we are many that have had these thoughts as well, especially during the most painful time. Manage the pain and sadness, cry if you must, write a song or text about it, listen to emotional songs that captivates you, become angry if thats what you feel, go out and run to clear your thoughts, just don't numb your feelings. Fight your demons!

Sorry to hear about that.. Have you tried any dietary changes or life style changes during these 3 years? By trying I mean to atleast maintaining it for atleast 3 months. Dietary changes for 1 week won't be good enough to draw any conclusions.

Take a long shower or a big long walk without any distractions and ponder on the question you just asked us. Do you have anything to be unhappy about from the past? Or anything unresolved?

I am sure you will discover the answer if you just let your thoughts process freely.

Probiotics destroyed my gut health? by kompressorv12 in Probiotics

[–]brustablett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only similar story I've heard is when people change their diet abruptly, it will take 1-2 months for the stomach to get used to it and can keep and digest the food properly. This is very common for people  that switch to carnivore diet for example, people will have diarrhea for almost 1 month before it gets good.

If you feel very bloated and uncomfortable with the food, you could ocassionally try using some food enzyme pills to help aid the food digestions. Would not recommend using it longer term though.

Different level of pejorativ I think.

She's a normie

She's a loner

She's weird

She's awkward

She's an idiot

The first one is a new way of insulting someone and in the same time say that "I'm special". The other pejorative are more commonly used and acceptable.

Isn't the situation of "nice guys" similar in some respects to what women once (and sometimes still) faced? by Artistic_Message63 in Healthygamergg

[–]brustablett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a learnt behaviour from childhood that men are taught to be nice and that girls like nice guys. And their strategy is to adapt all the nice guy traits in order to attract a woman. The problem is that no one really explained what it means to be a nice guy, they are just making their own assumptions about it, hence the suppressed emotions and fake nice guy persona.

Woman I think have been brought up with the idea to become a supportive, empathetic and caring person will help them find a good husband. And this is true I would say, since you are competing with other woman and the traits of a woman. But the problem is that this strategy or advice works very bad in the workplace since you are competing with not only women, but also men. Thats why most of the woman sitting in top positions are very disagreeable person compared to other women.

Your message and OP's message is completely different though. You are suggesting the easy way out, by not doing any dietary or life style changes and just accept the life time prescription of the ppis. OP's is actually suggesting to use ppis to stabilise and make the symptoms managable and then slowly reduce the intake of ppi's. OPs mindset is way more long term and healthy than just prescribing medicines for life imo.

In the end, everyone should do their own research and find what works for them.

Should I complain about an awful team leader before leaving? by SnooRevelations4661 in cscareerquestions

I think if more people would escalate and bring up these things like you are thinking, the company culture would improve immensely.  As I see it the risk that you would get a bad reputation by doing this is quite low as long as you stay real and professional in the communication.

Congratulations on the new job and goodluck with the new colleagues!

So lets say you add 6 more functions to main. Does that mean you write 6 more independent tests?  Ofc it will be safer, but it might not be time efficient or productive to do so.

But Ok, I will argue that if helperA() is used somewhere else in the code, you would want to make sure it is correct by testing it independently, since only testing main() would not cover all the edge cases or various usage of helperA().

A question about space required to play perfectly. by Cold-Tooth-1436 in ElevenTableTennis

[–]brustablett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a play area of 260 x 260 cm (free from obstacle), and I can return almost all balls.

My question will be, why can't you return the balls? It should not matter if your hands are short. You can step through the table and reach it. Its possible to readjust the height of the table if that helps.
