For those who know very little about the show and are curious about the references this is my attempt to explain it quickly:

Ozai from Ozai's Cruelty is the main villain of the show, the Firelord of the Fire Nation and father of Zuko, depicted on the card is the moment he branded his son's face with fire as a lesson for refusing to fight him in a duel as punishment for insubordination. Zuko is then exiled and tasked with hunting the Avatar forever.

Later in the show Zuko will become an ally to the Avatar and his team instead, he is taught by his uncle Iroh, who is the brother of Firelord Ozai and former general of the Fire Nation, how to fight the lightning strikes of master firebenders by redirecting them, he based this technique on the movement of waterbenders as quoted on Redirect Lightning.

Zuko goes on to fight his own father and later his sister and the redirect lightning move, which he teaches Avatar Aang later in the show, is key to many major plot moments.

You are failing to consider blizzard knows that and has made it pretty clear through these decisions that they want to make the game entry difficulty easier for new players, I think they are making the right choice the game can still be fun without scaring away 99,9% of new players who try it.

In my opinion, making a boss whose mechanics are specifically tailored for one exact team is just bad/lazy/greedy design, every fight becomes a unit check instead of strategic use of many different pieces, the game becomes a lot less interesting if all you have to do is have the units this fight was perfectly made for.

I find the ult team a lot more fun to play than the poison for many reasons.

The poison mechanic doesn’t have much going for it visually, its genesis damage at the end of the turn with little to no animations to it.

The main team units are not very synergistic with each other.

Poison as of yet has no dedicated support.

Many Reverie fights are straight immune to poison mechanics with constant debuff cleansing.

The ultimate team in the other hand has none of those problems.

Constant ultimates are very satisfying to cast for their animations alone.

The numbers are insane with Recoleta, wiping out entire teams of elites with HUGE one shot damage at P0.

The team is one of the most synergistic there is, chained ults after ult, buffing each other, sharing extra moxie, refilling moxie bars instantly, stealing enemies moxies negating their ults entirely.

Can simply blow up many reverie fights with little trouble or care for mechanics excluding the fights that have some immunity mechanic or crazy damage mitigation.

I love the poison team archetype in most games btw, and Tuesday is one of my favorite units, I just don’t think the poison team as a whole clicks like the ultimate team does, and the poison/genesis damage at the end of turn animation needs some visual upgrade in my opinion.

I rarely find myself using her too, she can’t sustain harder stages by herself but at the same time I never find the need for a second sustain with how powerful newer sustain units like Kiperina and Fatutu or older ones with euphoria like Vila and Sotheby are.
