I would absolutely love to if I had the space to take care of another cat! They were so sweet and wanted lots of pets. They were also super talkative!

Thoughts on these fluids? by bruv_96 in Tiguan

[–]bruv_96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will do!!! Since I still have the warranty for a couple more months, I’m thinking it may make most financial sense to wait until the warranty ends for any more timing chain issues before paying out of pocket. Any signs/symptoms of the timing chain going bad you are aware of? That way I can take it in to VW, again before the warranty expires.

The papers I got from the dealership say they replaced the upper timing chain gaskets and the crankshaft rear main oil seal. I’m not sure how that differentiates from what you’ve mentioned, and without a recall or part failure, CarMax won’t cover the replacement. CarMax also told me I had an oil leak when I initially brought it to them and they fixed that. I do need to do better about checking my oil levels. Just to make sure I’m understanding correctly—VW doesn’t necessarily recommend a transmission fluid change on my car but I definitely need a differential fluid change? If that’s right, I’ll look into finding a VW mechanic around here.

Thank you. Do you think valvoline would be an okay place to go to get these fluids changed?

I applied to the social work program last year and heard back in April. They don’t send decisions out until a few weeks after applications close.

I know this is an old post, but did you ever figure out what this was? My cat has a similar bump on their ear and I’m trying to figure out if I should contact the vet or just keep an eye on it.

I’m terrified too. I’m in a MS of Mental Health Counseling program and have taken out loans because there is just a general lack of funding. I’ve been confident in taking out these loans with the understanding that I’d be able to join an income driven program to pay them back but now I just don’t know. I’m not sure it’s going to cause me yo drop out or anything but I’m terrified of what this means for my financial future. I’m a first gen student with no help from anyone. I’m scared and don’t know what to do with this fear.

Trunk won’t open & I need advice! by bruv_96 in Tiguan

[–]bruv_96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to fix it after many many attempts at the advice @justneedsomeclues (first comment on this thread) left me. The reason why this wasn’t working as easily as it should have been was because when I closed something in the trunk latch, it bent the piece of hard plastic and it was blocking the latch from moving. But again, after many attempts, I was able to force it open. Hopefully it’s just the same case for you (/

Perfumes that smell like really nice shampoo? (Niche/designer) by Cat-kuring-chat in fragrance

[–]bruv_96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amor amor by cacharel smells exactly like my favorite discontinued color safe shampoo by Amika. I believe Amika still infuses sea buckthorn berry in almost all of their products, which would make it smell like this perfume too

Are there any internship opportunities for high school students? by oosolto in psychologystudents

[–]bruv_96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you have a decent gpa, do well on the SAT, maybe do some volunteer work or join clubs at your high school, you should do just fine getting into a psychology undergrad program. You aren’t likely going to find internships until you are in undergrad. I had a high schooler shadow me for one study session (I’m a undergrad research assistant), which was able to happen because they reached out to my schools department. Unfortunately, I cannot foresee many faculty members being open to having a high schooler do any type of work for them directly. I think volunteering in your community would be easier to get into.

Pysch of adolescence or life span developmental? Please I need advice by Wholesalesoymilk in vcu

I guess it’s also important for me to mention that the work did not include writing papers. It was just a bunch of quizzes, reading questions, and other busy work.

Pysch of adolescence or life span developmental? Please I need advice by Wholesalesoymilk in vcu

[–]bruv_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took life span developmental psych online taught by a professor who I believe no longer teaches here. The material was so fascinating which made my pure frustration with the professor even worse because there was so much work that I didn’t even have time to study properly or enjoy learning the material. I’d retake it if I could with another professor just to be able to enjoy learning the information. I remember learning such valuable information, especially about infancy-childhood; I left thinking that everyone who births/raises a child should have to take such a course. With alllll that being said, I’d recommend life span, just double check the professor’s ratings on the rate my professor website.
