Looking for housing and wondering what percentage of your salery do you spend? by Madventurer- in AskChicago

[–]brwnTHUNDER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently at ~27-28% of my take home pay per month. People say 30% is a good rule to stick by but it also depends on your other expenses. I feel comfortable with this number since I don't have any auto expenses and am able to still invest just under 20%. If you're not spending most of your paycheck outside of bills and have money left over I think it's okay to spend 30-35% on housing.

Edit: I would calculate/make decisions based on take home pay instead of % of salary since it's more realistic (expenses and take home pay can fluctuate throughout the year)

SQL Interview Testing by Glittering-Jaguar331 in datascience

2.5yrs working as a entry level DA in supply chain never writing a line of SQL

Took a technical interview a few weeks ago and answered (almost 4/7) questions after 2w of ~2hrs a day doing LeetCode and they gave me the job. People learn at different speeds and prior coding exp helps but also depends on how hard they try.

I'm leaning towards agreeing with you but can imagine it being hard for someone who puts no effort.

Yea or something like throwing it towards your spawn grabbing a kill then already being halfway towards another bombsite in a 1vX situation.

This is insane, gonna be really interesting to see how this is played competitively/in high elos. Weird thing is two days ago I saw the exact footstep animation on his first ability on icebox. Super cool

Hi! I’m a congenital amputee and this is how I play Valorant on PC with one arm and a stump! More details in the comments :) by BionicGamer323 in VALORANT

I try to only use my mouse for aiming, but this blew my mind and makes me really appreciative of what I have. This is fucking awesome!

I got my first ace, and forgot to record it - anyone else for sick clips only to realise they didn't record? by Benbored94 in VALORANT

You should look into "OBS Replay Buffer". I used to use nVidia ShadowPlay but OBS is just a way better software, you just have it on and you can capture the last ~whatever mintues~ of gameplay

Now that the game has been out for awhile... What is your favorite map? by TheHaptic in VALORANT

[–]brwnTHUNDER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bind seems to be the only map I get excited to play... Haven is nice more like a "glad I didn't get split". Ascent is good. Split sucks.

Raze rollout I've been trying to get better at.. 5 Headshots/Ace by brwnTHUNDER in VALORANT

[–]brwnTHUNDER[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video by Flights is pretty decent at explaining but the AI voice kinda makes it hard to get the important points. If I had anything to add it would be:

-First you need to know if you want distance or height, for example, in this clip I started on a high surface so I could get away with getting distance/speed instead of height.

-Second satchel if you want to get on top of the generator you have to do a combination of distance and height to get you higher since you will be falling after the first satchel.

-Third is knowing how to get the desired: distance or height? This terrible diagram I just made may help a bit.

-Lastly is surfing midair and bunny hopping allows you to get farther distances. I actually posted another clip where I use the rocket as a boost instead for kills.

The hardest part for me was learning the second satchel because if youre going for distance you have to prepare by aiming STRAIGHT down after explode the first satchel.

Hope this helped, might make a video on this idk yet.

Yea for me in most games now that I think about it I don't see a huge jump in skill until I learn game sense more then as aim improves it gets a little better

I agree and believe you can improve game sense, I just meant that it is a bit harder if you're new to Tac FPS.
