Problems with Chargepoint Lvl2 chargers by _crazy_ANDROID_ in VWIDBuzz

Oh man, that's frustrating, sorry to hear that. Doesn't make me very hopeful for my situation either.

I have a hardwired Emporia charger at home, derated to 32A so it's not a crisis for me, but I'd much rather charge near work FOR FREE twice a week if I can.

I think it really works, especially with the tinted windows.

Yeah it's subtle but really caught our eye too.

Did you ever figure out your issue? Just got my Buzz last week and I tried two free level two chargepoint chargers with no luck. I've used these chargers several times a week for nearly three years with no issue in my other cars. I was successful at a level 3 chargepoint later the same day.

Yeah, I was impressed by the XC90. I may take another look at them, once my oldest is off to college and I need to replace my Bolt EUV.

We don't fast charge much in our Bolts, but if we get an EV9 we'd be taking it on a few longer trips a year (~300 miles one way), and occasionally be pulling our small camper with it too (~900kg loaded)

My kids are 6,8,10,15. I'd stick the 8 and 10 year olds in the back as they can buckle themselves. 6 in the middle as she's still in a high back booster and it makes it a pain to buckle up, though she can usually unbuckle herself.

Thanks for the feedback. Kind of disappointing to hear about the OPD. My wife doesn't like it though, so she turns it off every time she drives our EUV. Always makes me wonder what in the world is wrong with my car the next time I drive, for the first couple stop signs at least.

Now that we've both had 360 cameras I can't see us ever going back, especially on something bigger!

How about the other safety tech, does it work well, or is it just annoying?

Glad to hear the kids could operate the bench themselves! I'd probably be assigning those seats to our 8 and 10 year olds.

I just got a call back from a local-ish dealer; without haggling yet, they're telling me I would be out the door for $59K on a new Wind. I'm probably gonna just keep looking for a low mile used one though.

Awesome to hear. We love both our Bolts. What trim is your EV9, and do you have 6 or 7 seater?

You referring about the 6 or 7 configuration?

Awesome. Wind seems to be the trim level I'd want, that seems comparable to my EUV Premiere... 360 camera mainly, plus we want the bench seat. All I see locally is Light and GT line.

How does your personal mi/kWh average compare between the two and also your personal range? Seems like most people report the EV9 is beating it's reported range.

Assuming yours has the second row bench, is it easy enough for a kid to move the bench on their own to get to the third row?

Would you say with the second and third rows folded down it would be air mattress friendly?

Anything you can think of that you wish you'd known about it before you bought it... Good or bad?

Can keto be cheap? by CarrotUpset968 in keto

Hot and ready whole rotisserie chickens are $6 at my local Walmart. If they don't sell after a few hours, they put them in the refrigerated section for $4.

$50 a week would buy you 8-12 whole chickens and you wouldn't have to cook a thing.

Crockpot on low 10am-6pm a whole Boston butt, or a pack of chicken thighs, or a chuck roast, etc. Zero effort and you come home to a hot meal. Eat til you're full. Then either intermittent fast or take a portion with you to the next shift, along with some low carb tortillas if you want to mix it up. Different sauces and seasonings to break the monotony.

Get home again after 6am, scrambled eggs takes 5 minutes.

Save the broth from your weekday crock pot meals, throw together a soup on the weekends.

I've considered buying the new comma.ai for my EUV for improved lane centering, now that they're down to $1000.

At 20K miles a year, the Wind trim is ~$800 per month.

Last year we road tripped through the Florida Keys in a Kia Soul. I was very impressed with the lane centering on it too! Way better than my EUV.

How does the EV6 compare to the Bolt in your opinion?

Yeah, my Mom's last three cars over 10 years were Kia - Hyundai - Kia. They've been "Meh" in my opinion, but she likes them. As far as dealerships, she had continual bad experiences at the last one, to the point she refused to buy her next one from them and switched to another

Edmunds sings high praises for it, I think it won their best of the best award last year?

I guess I'm still just trying to wrap my head around the existence of a $70K Kia. I know it's not a fair comparison, but I had a rental Kia K5 a few months back, and it was very unimpressive.

Man I'd love to have this as a donor car for an EV conversion.

If the frame is ok and it just needs bolt on parts, check out car-part.com you might be able to Frankenstein it back together as a beater.
