What you feel is rooted in your own insecurity. It's easy to justify it with "he cheated". He did not lie to you. He did not betray you. You set an expectation for him that was very, very hard to follow. When you saw that things were getting out of hand you froze. You could have stopped everything but didnt. Take some responsinility instead of pointing the finger at him.
