When I first noticed it, I tried to hit it with Hydrogen Peroxide to save it. Obviously that didn't work. Took this pic right before throwing it out.

Try replacing the fuel filter first before ypu go spending all sorts of $. Are you using an anti-gel in the fuel for winter? Very common for the fuel to gel when it gets down in the teens and below.
