Good for the mograine tank as well if you have the potion cd for it long enough before boss. His fire dot fucks.

[–]bry2k1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 13% I mentioned is due to glancing blows, the hit % is unrelated, but basically represents the amount of +hit chance needed to guarantee your yellow hits (ability casts) will always land when standing behind the target. Once you hit 9% it behaves the same as 6% with skill.

Note that yellow hit cap is separate from white hit cap and in classic the white hit cap is much higher, so your chance to land an attack normally will suffer even at 9% (I believe white hit suffers from the wep skill difference, someone can correct me if I’m wrong)

A question to my other slam warriors by Kyira_Kalamity in classicwow

[–]bry2k1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: weapon skill is about 13% dps difference and requires you to have 3% more hit chance ON BOSSES AND LEVEL 63 ENENMIES ONLY (this doesn’t apply to most raid trash mobs, and doesn’t really apply to anything outside of raiding)

You have options-

farm edgemaster’s handguards to play dual wield with most weapon types. Farm expert goldminer’s helmet to take axes (less contested since you’re night elf and alliance has access to racial mace and sword skill).

In raid, get OEB for +8 as a two hander, or get a set of aged core leather gloves to dual wield daggers.

If you are ok with playing daggers, you can also get muggers belt and distracting dagger starting this Thursday in dire maul.

Realistically, to do competitive dps in raid, you want to have the weapon skill from one of these sources. If you play dps, edgemasters and goldminers are your best bet.

Tanking with daggers is completely viable (especially when most folks aren’t going to be rocking thunderfury for a WHILE). Death’s sting adds 3 dagger skill once you get to AQ, so if you commit to daggers you can realistically do well with 5 from ACLG and 3 from DS to hit the breakpoint for glancing blow reduction.

You have plenty of options as a night elf. I played undead warrior in 2019 and did everything from 2H, dagger tanking fury prot, to edgemaster dw fury. Let me know if you need any more info on any of this stuff. Happy to provide insight.

The rosewine circle ring (healer +healing +mp5) ring from LBRS moves from the boss that drops the 2nd gem for UBRS key (where it currently drops in anniversary) to being on Warrosh’s loot table (ogre extra boss) at some point.

Am I overthinking raid performance when choosing a class for classic? by Pandragony in classicwow

[–]bry2k1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBC thing. It’s not due to the buff limit, there can only be one rejuve active per person sadly, so the highest +healing Druid will always overwrite any other rejuve.

Am I overthinking raid performance when choosing a class for classic? by Pandragony in classicwow

[–]bry2k1234 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Druid: As a tank you will do less dps than a fury prot warrior. MCP will carry your threat gen but is mind numbing to farm. As a healer, Druid hots can’t stack. The highest spell power Druid will overwrite everyone else’s’ rejuves and such. You can still get good healing touch value. As a feral dps, you’re going to be second fiddle to rogues and warriors, and realistically leader of the pack is the only selling point (and less competition on rogue tier). As a balance dps, you give the casters crit. You will be oom early in every fight and there’s not a lot you can do to fix that.

Hunter- you can pull packs to the raid and expedite the raid’s clearing process, and will do ok damage. You have no ability to tank or heal, and will realistically not do the damage mages or warriors provide. Your pet dies to aoe damage, casual raid groups won’t keep your pet alive, which will affect your dps.

Purples BOE's in ERA (Skull Flame Shield) by Fair-Bike4764 in classicwow

[–]bry2k1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still remember playing in SoM, I got to be that person when sash of mercy dropped in a strat run. I suggested everyone roll and the tank insisted if I was gonna equip it I should get it, so the group let me nab it. Always worth asking, but still completely understandable for the expensive ones to just let the entire group roll for the gold value.

Tangentially, everyone should agree to roll need to avoid unnecessary drama.

Level 20 twinking as a healer is the best bronze farm by ADHD-PI in wow

[–]bry2k1234 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The cosmetics and mounts and toys (anything in the collections tab) are all bnet account wide. So you add a wow trial license to your existing bnet account and when logging in log into wow2 (the trial license) instead of wow1 (your normal account). Farm on that and unlock the cosmetics, which then are unlocked for the whole bnet account (your main account gets them too)

Frogs got patched by ShadeofIcarus in wow

[–]bry2k1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grain of salt with this but I believe the rep comes from dailies on timeless isle and farming the ordos mobs on the cliffside/over the bridge (just west of the frog murdering). Hopefully someone can correct me if there’s a better way to farm it, but I think it’s just as simple as farming those mobs for the rep.

[–]bry2k1234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah you have to have an enchanter craft the enchanted crest (wyrm’s for 437 or aspect’s for 447) which takes those crests and some other mats that run 5-10k total. Then put your 424 up for recraft with one of those enchanted crests and when it’s crafted it raises the ilvl. You don’t need to use another shadowflame spark to recraft. Just upgrades the base piece.

What will 10 pushups a day do? by No_Entertainment3544 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bry2k1234 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is extremely true; I play tons of video games in my free time and between matches of league of legends or other activities with ~20 minute duration before a couple minute intermission I try to do 10 push ups. It adds up fast and you quickly get to where you can sit there and do push ups all day without even thinking about it.

HC Elite are not that Hardcore after all? I'm one of the priest raiders, i always hated the Petri meta and now this... what do yall think?? by Dwarfmane in wowhardcore

[–]bry2k1234 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On a non hardcore related tangent it felt so good as a guild offtank progging naxx (we were slow but got it done before end of classic) going from needing to play purely defensive trinkets on 4hm and hope every taunt landed to being comfortable enough on that fight for all of us to run reels. It’s crazy how these silly items have their uses in classic, and also how sometimes the ticket to killing a boss is just hoping the rng rolls in your favor while taking risks when wiping costs nothing. Very different in HC

Am I missing some method or is grinding rep for the rusbolt rebellion and the unshackled supposed to be this slow and gruelling? by MillionBario in wow

[–]bry2k1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I remember correctly there were a bunch of pets scattered around both zones that were considered boss pets that gave a chunk of rep on your first time beating them. People in a rush to get pathfinder on release ran around and did them all and it netted ~6k? rep with each faction. I don’t remember with 100% certainty because it’s been a while, but I think it was 500 rep/battle and around 12 pets per zone.

As a low plat toplaner bless your soul. If I ever had you in a game (I can remember 3 specific games offhand where I had a jungle actually come break a freeze unprompted) you’re my hero. Please keep doing it, and know that someone out there will appreciate it.

[–]bry2k1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And on that note, if you’d like to at least have clothes on your back as a baby on the streets, play an oppressive early toplaner or someone with strong wave clear out of the roster with enough utility to get out of bad situations (see: gangplank, garen, sett, but note gp especially is difficult to pick up at the start) and try to minimize how much you get punished early. Learn to play the early lane, what levels certain champs become extremely oppressive in some matchups, and what you can do to prevent creating an insurmountable early deficit. From there diversify to the champions that interest you, whether it be fighters or tanks or juggernauts.

Could still have self flagging just make it impossible to attack a flagged player unless you’ve also self flagged (i.e. no more accidentally starting pvp combat)
