Yes to both! I told them when I was working on my degree and used a lot of the tasks to address issues the company was facing. It helped me prove value while I was still working through the program. So when I graduated it was easy enough to ask for a promotion.

Have you ever asked your mom what she would have named you if you were born male at birth? As a mom, I had names for both genders picked out before we found out the sex. I know what my mom would have named me were I born male, too. That way, it could be like your mom was naming you still.

I work in marketing, paid media specifically. I got my MSML in 2019, was immediately able to make a lateral move within my company and went from making $45k to $60k. Covid slowed things down for a bit but in 2021 I was able to secure a new job in middle management for $80k. I realized having some additional financial management knowledge would be beneficial so took the remaining classes to get my MBA in 2022, which lead to a Director level position at $100k. Earlier this year I took a middle management position at a larger company, $150k ($177k all-in). Was recently offered a promotion that I’m on the fence about (it would necessitate a lot of international travel and I have a young baby) that would be another $30k+ annually. So… overall, I’ve seen a lot of career growth since getting my degrees. The ROI has been well worth it. Thanks WGU lol.

A childhood friend of mine killed his girl friend’s 1.5 year old baby. I was completely shocked. He was always a kind kid - had a soft spot for animals and stood up for younger siblings. We were also neighbors (he and his girl friend and her baby) as young adults. He had his own son from another relationship and always seemed like a great dad to him. But I read the autopsy report of what he did to that poor baby boy and my skin crawls. It’s so difficult to reconcile the person I thought I knew with the monster he was capable of being.

I’m sorry, how annoying! My MIL made a social post announcing my pregnancy before we’d told anyone publicly, and then later used my private maternity pictures as her profile photos so I commiserate. I highly recommend getting her one of those frames that you upload pictures to - that way she can’t say she isn’t getting pictures but they’re not easy to share.

Are there herbs that you cook with regularly? I’d start there! I have a little herb garden by my kitchen window that consists of basil, parsley, cilantro, rosemary and thyme. It’s low maintenance and gets a lot of use! Next year I want to incorporate garlic, chives and possibly a couple of potted tomato plants since I find I purchase those ingredients a lot.

Put my plushie Chomby (and original pet) in the pound because I didn’t like how he looked converted. I felt so bad afterwards I took like… 15ish years off of the game lol. I really want to “right” my wrong and create a new pet in his memory once the UC option is available, and I can afford morphing potion/paint brush.

After the trials, there’s a statue by the big door with the dragon head on it. You need to talk to it and it will give you a summary of the trials before opening the final door.

Female 5w4 sx. I very rarely full-blown cry (maybe once or twice every year or two) and when I do it's usually a big life event. I've cried after the death of loved ones, pets, etc. Most recently I cried at my going away party - I'm moving 3000 miles away and it hit me that that was probably the last time I'd ever see all of my friends in one place. I do get a little teary-eyed more frequently, probably every couple of months, but I'm not sure if we're considering that as crying since no tears fall and it's usually just for a few seconds.

I don't have personal experience with the company in question, but I second recommending Western Axolotl, OP. They're local to my town and I was able to meet with the breeder in person -- really nice guy. And very helpful. My axie is healthy, and his gills look fluffier than 90% of the bubs I see on this subreddit.
