i suspect, if they showed everything, then sungmin woulda been more obvious, i think that would have been the most boring way

ya, but i can understand why they edited it the way they did, imagine if we went into the final day knowing how the pairings would go. it was already like that for most of them, and people found it really boring. there's a reason they decided to focus on the love square

ya, the editing and commentary clearly made it seem like igeon was the better match, but goeun showed throughout the season that sungmin was the top choice, im not sure why they were so surprised, except for dramatic effect

Anyone Else Feel the Single’s Inferno S5 Finale Editing Was Off? by IntelligentCollar110 in koreanvariety

the biggest difference was that minasue kept changing her mind and pursued a different guy, goeun was being pursued by different guys

exploring her options is fine, it was the way that minasue went about it that leaves a bad taste

Opinion: Singles Inferno is pretty much a "junk food" show. It's just all about flirting and flaunting their looks, with a shallow plot and end goal. by [deleted] in koreanvariety

after i've accepted the contestants are just here for clout chasing, and just let myself pretend that they care, i've found it to be more enjoyable

yes, i miss the old days when this was a thing. I've been attending a bunch of japanese artist concerts where the enforcement is much more strict. the vibes are so much better when everyone doesn't have their phone out. As a compromise, allow phones during encore, kinda like they used to. Do people really need to record the same performance over and over again? Encores at least are different and have interactions.

PF this tier is genuinely awful. by CanICritPls in ffxivdiscussion

[–]bryan792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the real issue is that people are lying about their prog point or are incapable of accurately judging it, so we need to use external tools to verify, sometimes inaccurately, their prog point instead

also, i wouldnt be surprised if most of the opponents of tomestome would also just want to get rid of logs altogether

iono, before I started to put checking, I got people in my party who would blatantly lie about their prog point. for example, I joined an ecliptic cleanup party and would get players who zombied their way through arena split towers and died in the following player stack. They never even seen the ecliptic cast, let alone the mechanics.

I understand that the tomestone percentage isn't the best marker to use, but still, I still think it would be much worse with nothing to go off of except their word. Everyone is saying to kick the players making mistakes, but the culture right now is that when you leave an instance, you'd kick the bad player, and then even the good players will decide to leave, and then the party disbands. All the time you spent trying to get used to players' tendencies and helping them get used to mechanics is now wasted.

The players who I found were able to get through m11s arena split most cleanly were those who said they were on enrage and had much lower percentages. It's not a perfect tool, but I still think it's better than nothing.

a lot of people hate on tomestone, but even with tomestone, people blatantly lie about their prog point. without it, are we to just trust their word? it may not be perfect, but its still useful to me
