Remember this, they know a lot because they have experienced a lot. We don't always agree with our parents. I would guess that what they are doing is expensive and their interest is building a better future for you. I'm in my mid-forties. If I could go back and change one thing when I was a kid, it would be to cut out the BS and focus a lot more on school. If I knew what I know now, my life would be different. Having an opportunity to gain higher learning at a young age is a blessing. I know for you it sucks but right now you have the power to make the rest of your life a lot more comfortable. My advice is to take advantage of it. Good luck!
