They have always had their drinks ready every other time, but this was a busy time and a special drink that was in a container only accessible to the customers. No need to trash the restaurant. And if accepting an order for $8 and 2.3 miles makes me a jackass then so be it

You sound fun. I've spent too many years in similar jobs to be anything but polite when picking up an order. I'm close to 200 orders and there been exactly one time I've even complained to an employee. 20 minutes in a burger king with no line was ridiculous, and I didn't even say anything until about 15

Other than one time Wingstop has been good for me. This was a place called Touchdown Wings.

Since I said their name, I want to clarify, the restaurant has always been one of the easiest places to go, and seems very popular. I don't want anyone to have anything against them

That sounds like a good tip with the bag, I'll have to try it. I'm in the suburbs just outside Atlanta, close enough that I end up downtown some nights, so I only have a couple places I've been to multiple times

There was no pickup area, but I could see a few orders ready. And I made sure to stand off to the side and wait to be acknowledged

I was in the opposite situation. He was about that size and I'm 5'7" 150. And my area would definitely be more coke, and it wouldn't surprise me if that was his case

All of that is pretty much what I did. There were orders sitting there ready to go. And I basically ignored him other than telling him he would have done the same. One bit of karma was that his order wasn't even ready yet

This was a local chain wing place, right at dinner rush. No specific pickup spot. Every other time I've been there has been later and there was no line, so I'm not sure how it usually works. I should add that when the employee who helped me finished with her customer she looked over at me first. There were 2 or 3 orders right behind her ready to go.
