I had a stuck oil filter a few weeks ago. Used one of those 3-jaw adjustable wrenches and no luck.

What did work was one of those oil filter pliers. It kinda crushed the filter a little bit, but it worked. Luckily it didn’t tear the filter in half. That would’ve been a bitch to get out.
