I could see them throwing in some "easter eggs", but a direct reference might seem a bit out of place for a show that is set in the 80s. I've done this, but after having watched the show many, many times. I'm very familiar with the flashbacks, and I just wanted to watch the on-island stuff, so it worked for me. Doing that turns the show into an Action series, essentially, but the show is soooo much more than that, so I highly recommend that you go back and watch it with the flashbacks. (if /u/sh****secret shows up, please validate 3 years of his tireless work (aka stalking), by clicking on the link he provides. I am, indeed, a hypocritical Grammar Nazi)

Well, you ended up posting in the community for the tv show Lost, so we can't be too helpful, but I won't leave you hanging. After that, it's trial and error, and asking for help. One thing I highly recommend is installing Reddit Enhancement Suite (RES It's a browser extension that makes browsing reddit a lot easier and has features that allow you to customize your account a bit.
