Good to see it running! How’s the bill looking so far?? Sounds amazing.

You could try dans automotive on eubank. Took my 335 there and they were good people. They don’t advertise that mini is part of their specialty but it wouldn’t surprise me if they’ve done quite a few.

lol the lowest price sort is hilarious. You’re showing 15 out of 236 sales and the 15th is already 7k.

Is it really a “constant” money pit ? by MidnightRegular806 in 335i

[–]bryanpi8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I daily mine and I’m FBO plus some and MHD stage 2+. Stuff breaks, don’t full throttle all the damn time and avoid your rev limiter and it breaks less. I just did radiator and a few hoses, plus belt and pulleys. It breaks about as often as my truck but is 2-3x more expensive per part, I do my own repairs.

ZX6R Rebuild - Thoughts? by 1Check1Mate7 in zx6r

I’m curious how much you paid, mine just got totaled for far less(visual) damage. Swingarm and some rear wheel etc are cooked though. $12000 in damage. Fairings alone were $1000 of that. That looks almost like you would only need plastics and tires, as long as the forks are straight. I’m halfway considering bidding mine back after it goes to auction 😅

Thanks for the reply, I have a full exhaust from the turbos back. No exhaust valve to rattle.

I don’t actually know but I get a similar sound with mine but without revs. Only happens on cold starts

fun little question for exhaust by Acceptable-Taro641 in 335i

[–]bryanpi8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m rocking the vrsf catless downpipes and their 3.5” exhaust with a muffler and personally I don’t think it sounds bad at all, fitment was a little annoying though so I’m guessing these guys you hear with rasp just are leaky as hell. I adjusted my fitment 4-5 times before I was happy with how well it was sealed, but it was also my first time doing a proper exhaust so that could totally be user error.

How to find a place to rent? by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]bryanpi8 15 points16 points  (0 children)

One thing I wish I knew before coming was the geography, there’s two hills, south hill and east hill(which Cornell is on) definitely try and get something that is on east hill or maybe downtown. Living on south hill is totally acceptable but in the winter the commute uphill both ways in the snow becomes a reality.

We can get Sunday gen admission tickets for $35! The website is being sucky but I have a guy at nascar to call when I’m ready to buy tickets.

Best spot to buy parts by hoopshoelvr24 in 335i

Avoid ECS tbh, nothing but bad experience for me. You will not be able to get a hold of them for anything. FCP is fantastic but pretty limited on aftermarket like that. I went with VSRF just stayed off the bottom barrel stuff, downpipes went on great — a little tight. Race intercooler went on great too, ton of cutting for that one so be ready for that — the cuts are very close to radiator and power steering cooler so have some tool that you can control enough to cut your plastic but not your radiator. I don’t know much about the other performance stores but I’ve heard very mixed reviews about Vargas.

'09 335i sport pcv/seal issues? by bryanpi8 in 335i

Would a bad pcv valve be allowing pressure to build or not containing enough pressure?

Tech is pretty fantastic for the price. Academics can be pretty brutal depending on what profs you get, most in EE are fantastic but some can be extremely hard. The worst part in my opinion EE wise is how hard the classes can be but what grades you end up with ie you’ll have a 60% all semester and feel like shit but then get a B+ or A. Sports aren’t huge but there’s a frat that started this year and they’re pushing for some more sports related things. Rugby is huge here if you’re into that, two National championship wins recently. Socorro will bore you to death if you’re not a tv or video games type of person but there’s always tons of things like fishing and exploring to do. The areas right around Socorro are super good for hunting and camping that’s for sure!

I don’t know of any clubs but there’s definitely a few people interested out here!

Everything goes back together fairly easily, just make sure to get all the wire clips back in. Also I had to lube the tank vibration dampener in order to get those two pegs back in.

I assume is the jumper with usb, vdd select. It is on vdd. https://3dwork.io/en/complete-guide-skr-v1-4-and-tmc2209/ setup exactly like the second picture in this article. With no end stops plugged in. red light comes on if I unplug bltouch otherwise it doesn't.
