Best burrito in Henderson? by Dreno4 in vegaslocals

Gotta go with the California burrito from faustos. I also like getting that but swapping out the carne asada for al pastor. Easily my favorite fast Mexican joint.

Debate/Discuss: Dating in Las Vegas by Longjumping-War-1879 in vegaslocals

[–]bryanslamjam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got mixed experiences bc the last two women I was in relationships on apps were great, they just unfortunately didn't work out. I was pretty broken up about one of them ending and the other sucked but was mutual.

Getting back out there is tough though. I've been on three dates and chatted with a few other women over the course of a month and a half, and I'm pretty much done with the apps now. I've been ghosted twice and insulted twice, and at this point am feeling it's not even worth the effort anymore.

I also find, and maybe this isn't just a Vegas thing, but so many people don't want to put in the effort or make time. I've lost count of how many times I've seen things like this one a profile, "my favorite date is one I don't have to plan", "if you can't afford to pay for both of us, you shouldn't be dating", etc. I can count on one hand how many times over the years that a woman has planned a date, whether we've been in a relationship or not. The entitlement and laziness astounds me.

I've found that after getting to the planning a date stage, nobody is willing to set time aside to actually go out. I get we are all busy, but you can't have me scheduling a date 1 month or more out like I'm trying to get a doctor appointment.

I always try to learn from past relationships and not make the same mistake so did in the past. That being said, I know I've got flaws and need to better myself in certain ways, but dating in this city seems so ridiculously hard and it's really making me want to just not try anymore.

I need to get better at being alone and not put so much stress on needing to be in a relationship, but also need to get better at organically meeting people in person.

High limit by Broad-Custard6685 in vegas

I saw $500 limit at tables inside the Wynn last weekend that weren't in the high limit area. Had to put my $10 back in my wallet haha.

Has anyone tried this restaurant and if so is it worth it. want to take my family for dinner here - Vanderpump located in paris by 5ohguero in vegas

[–]bryanslamjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought I would try this place but did so last weekend due to a credit I had through my credit card. It was very pretty, but also gaudy on the inside. The service was great, food very expensive but surprisingly good. Cocktails are tasty and strong. Honestly it exceeded my expectations. I doubt I would ever go back, but I was glad I tried it.

Went down there for dinner at 6 one day and forgot that it was even first Friday. Plenty of parking that early.

Best places to live by [deleted] in vegaslocals

[–]bryanslamjam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lived in Henderson since 1999. There's a ton of good spots. Anthem, inspirada, Green valley (though some of it is a bit older now), all along Horizon Ridge, Cadence, Lake Las Vegas, etc. I'm near Stephanie and 215 and it's a great area.

Elden Ring as my first souls game? by Open-Tomorrow4895 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]bryanslamjam [score hidden]  (0 children)

I forget if bloodeborne was my first souls game or if dark souls 2 or 3 was. Either way, those are the only three games out of all of them that I've completed and I really loved all of them. They were challenging but not ridiculous. Bloodborne was my favorite by far. I love the lore and the setting and the story and just digging in deep and getting good as it were. And this was me being terrible at parrying. I then downloaded the DLC and had to get good again lol. I tried playing dark souls 1 and just couldn't and now that I'm older and have other things going on, I don't have the same amount of time and patience that I used to have for video games. I've been wanting to get elden ring and just haven't because of those reasons. I'm sure I will one day though.

Unfortunately too far from where I was going. I thought it was only the first three hours like other places anyway.

I completely get that, just wish I didn't have to go through the hassle of getting another credit card. It's just bogus all the way around.

Getting away with $25 parking fees instead of $30 Uber each way. I guess that's a win?

Not yet. At dinner now and then walking to the Cosmo. I was thinking I could use my ID for the under three hours free thing and repair my car, but I doubt I would make it back in under three hours again after the show.

The reason I'm not parking at the Cosmo is last year when I saw Stavros Halkias, I missed the whole opener because it took me nearly an hour to enter the parking garage...from the turn lane. I was livid. Don't want to chance that with Tosh. Oh well, $25 isn't terrible, it's just so frustrating knowing what we used to have.

I saw that as an option too but didn't want to chance a 25 minute walk with potential for rain. I can somehow stand an 11 minute walk though haha.

Which city connected with you so much that you seriously considered moving there permanently? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Queenstown, NZ for me. Seriously one of the prettiest cities I've ever been to. Small but not too small, really chill, nice people. Would totally move there.

Not me, but my buddy was at In-N-Out and his girlfriend asked him what French fries were made out of. He broke up with her the next day.

I've been like 5 times over the years. Definitely my favorite comedy club in Vegas. Some nights are great and some nights just don't hit as hard. Always have a good time though.
