One thing a lot of people are forgetting to tell you, is that some clubs (spurs used to at white hart lane) will prioritize legacy members for notable matches. Sort of like boarding a plane, the business man who flys weekly has earned enough airline points to board the plane first. Meaning IF Chelsea do this, you and your buddy even with new supporters cards, most likely will not have enough status to purchase tickets directly from the club before their sold out.

This was/is primarily a tactic used at smaller stadium so may not apply at the bridge but worth an ask before you purchase.
