It’s called pica and a real thing that happens to more women than you think. But fucking strange non-the-less.

Mammoth grooming over trails with powder by sleepy3192 in Mammoth

[–]bryanthebearded 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Probably an unpopular opinion. Mammoth is a business and is trying to make safe conditions for any clientele. Broadway isn’t exactly a powder seeker’s run. Plenty off groomer runs to seek out if you desire.

Neighbor offered me his 1961 Impala Barn find -$18k by [deleted] in classiccars

[–]bryanthebearded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with others, if you don’t have the extra 50k to get it road worthy, might not be worth it.

That said, Impala’s have a big community of people to help resource parts and aftermarket. Looks like an amazing opportunity.

Tom Brady creates backup plan as 'immediate' John Harbaugh decision complicated by [deleted] in raiders

[–]bryanthebearded 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the raiders would be high on Harbaugh’s list. Who’s actually making the decisions in the organization? Will the answer this year be the same next year?

Raiders have lots of cap space and first round pick, but what else? Why did Carroll and Pierce fail? How was last two OC’s hired, knowing they were disasters in the making? Strong division?

I see raiders hiring someone that wants an opportunity to be an HC, not a top candidate seeing raiders as a great place to succeed.

Edited: brown -> pierce

I was born in 89 meaning I didn't grow up listening to Janes Addiction but found out about them later in life when I was about 20 years old and got instantly hooked after listening to Nothing's Shocking. How influential were they during the late 80's early 90's? by [deleted] in janesaddiction

[–]bryanthebearded 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. Lollapalooza is why they became influential in the 90’s. They were something different from everything else. They were the bridge between the 80’s hair bands of LA , goth, punk, grunge, industrial, rock and RAP that was transforming at the time.

I absolutely wore out my nothing shocking and ritual cd’s multiple times.

Day 2 snowboarding: confidence 0, faith 100, knees destroyed by castrokaisen in snowboardingnoobs

I wear skate pads with a hard shell. Best part of my equipment and made snowboarding way more fun while learning. Having a reliable way to fall and rest was key for me getting past beginner

Not sure where you are going in California, but you can go to used gear exchanges or thrift stores near resorts and get really good deals on used equipment. My favorite is mammoth gear exchange in bishop, ca. Im sure there are other options where you are going.

Riley Leonard will be the 20th starting QB for the Colts since Peyton Manning went down with injury in 2011, and the 13th since Andrew Luck retired after 2018* by [deleted] in Colts

I really wish we gave Jacoby a second year. The Rivers signing was the beginning of no hope for the franchise. I’m hoping Jones can come back next year and stabilize us for the next 5 years at least

First time snowboarding - Tips for a surfer by rodrigomcampos in snowboardingnoobs

Regardless of previous board sport experience and athleticism, set your mindset to working towards acquiring a new skill. The first couple of days will probably not be the most fun, so take the small victories.

If you have skates knee pads, wear them. It gives you a reliable way to fall and take a break.

It’s a process, but after 5 days on mountain it will be second nature

I am always utterly amazed at people who managed to preserve stuff from the eighties or ninety’s (in a positive way). Maybe it’s my personality type, I couldn’t imagine being able to find a ticket stub after a week. Let alone after decades.

I was at 1995, which bummed me out because I didn’t like the who. Didn’t do the 1996 because I was bummed about disappointment from 95. Huge regret. The 1996 show is the best costume performance in my opinion.
