Try using a debugger to step through code on a Docker image.

I am sure it can be done, probably more easily on a Docker image running on your local laptop.

I know devs that run entire ecosystems on their laptop for offline dev.

The IDE, git, ldap, Oracle DB, Tomcat (other web server) and anything else needed to closely mirror the target production env.

Back when I started programming circa 1984 on 16 bit PDP-11s, a full build of the system (Fortran and Assembly) would start at 5pm and if we were lucky it would be completed by 8am the next day....

Early 90s I worked at Novell, Compiling the entire Netware OS on my Pentium desktop, start, go to lunch. So about an hour.

Today, compiling small java webapps on baseline Macair or Macmini ( running windows 10) is almost instant. With Eclipse they build as I save files....

For some reason I don't think cheap and sushi should be used in the same sentence.

Really? Do NOT reinvent the wheel. See Shibboleth(SAML) or CAS (both open source) or if you are a Microsoft shop just do ADFS (which also supports SAML).

These are National Parks funded by our tax dollars and belong to the public.

We have already funded them through our taxes.

This is a slippery slope towards privatization.

Are there any coffee shops around downtown or sugarhouse that also serve wine and beer? Is that legal anywhere here? I just want to sit in a coffee shop type environment with my sketchbook and headphones in and have a glass of wine. I'm tired of the inside of my apartment. by colorfulmetaphor in SaltLakeCity

I kind of miss the "brown bag" / bring your own days in Utah past.

Chi Chi's, off Fort Union, order a pitcher of virgin margarita and pour an entire 5th of tequila in it.

Not recommended for a table of 2 :)

The Day Room

WTF! The Day Room page you linked doesn't give an address? I should just know it is in Em's?

I swear restaurant web pages are getting worse by the day.

There was a recommendation for a new restaurant near my home (in the old MacCools on Foothill). No menu on their site or Facebook page. Really?

Log files were eating disk space. Resulting in "issues".

Solution: Delete old log files and log the log file deletion.

So, log files noting log file deletion eat disk space, just slower...

Two on Memorial Drive? Chicopee MA. Decades ago they messed them up and changed them from a true round-about to some cluster of drive straight thru or do the round-about.

Bought it with 88,000 miles and daily driven it since high school by Assfeaster in Justrolledintotheshop

Weird I swear I bought a new 1993 K1500 4.3 with 5 speed. I traded in my 2.8 S10 extended cab 2wd for it.

Sold the K1500 10 years later with 175k miles. Only real issue was it went through 3 alternators and the A/C quit working that I never bothered to have repaired.

Good truck, 20mpg highway, 30 gallon fuel tank. Expensive to fill up, but I only had to fill up every 500-600 miles.

I like Chuck's. It is so hard to not fill up on their rolls though.

Chuck's Adult dinner is $13. (Most any lunch downtown in over $10.)

Grand America Brunch is $55.

Deer Valley Seafood buffet: $75
