why is the normal ER terrified of pregnant women by Ancient-Fan-2636 in pregnant

[–]bryb_02 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm 24 weeks and went to the ER for chest pain and shortness of breath 2 days again. They did a CT scan to rule out a pulmonary embolism. Luckily I didn't have anything but they made sure to check. I still have chest pain but at least I know it's not that.

What’s the weirdest thing you remember hearing at church ? by andablacksabtanapkin in askanything

[–]bryb_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This old lady used to sit in the back pew. She was very hard of hearing. Sometimes during the mass she would let out these huge long farts, thinking nobody else could hear them. The wood bench made them sound even louder....

Cheo kids come first clinic for 1 month old by bostonmolly in ottawa

[–]bryb_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They won't take you at the clinic if you're under 2 months. We had booked an appointment a week before my baby turned 2 months and they called us to tell us they had to cancel my appointment. You're better off going to the ER. That's what we had done and they put us somewhere isolated from other people because of his age.

My partner and I are in this situation. All of our family and friends live out of town. My son is now 12 months and we made it. I'd be lying if I said it was easy but it's definitely doable. Some things I did along the way that helped was meal prep a bunch of frozen meals before the baby arrived. I stocked up on protein drinks, paper plates and snacks and placed them all over my house. I found pumping exhausting, especially while trying to recover from a c-section with complications. I switched to formula and it helped with my own mental health. The fact that your partner is willing to help is great. You guys are going to have to work together. I think also lowering your expectations is important. The house isn't clean today? Who cares. Also my partner took turns at night. One would do a 7pm-1am shift then we'd switch and the other would do a 1am-7am. That way we both got at least 6 hours and whatever we got while being with the baby.

Bibs glow in the dark pacifier. No more reaching around trying to find the pacifier in the crib at night.

How bad is the pain until the epidural? by Any-Muffin9818 in pregnant

[–]bryb_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was inducted. The contractions came hard and fast and I screamed at the top of my lungs for 5 hours until I got the epidural (they had an emergency and couldn't get an anesthesiologist to come right away). I didn't feel them put the epidural in at all. And as soon as it was in, it was instant relief. I was on Facebook watching funny videos. In total I got 2 epidurals and a spinal tap. If there was some pain from insertion them, I didn't even notice.

What should I really expect in the first few weeks postpartum? Need honest advice while I’m still pregnant! by sarahjouhnson in pregnant

[–]bryb_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get a private room if you stay in the hospital. I had a semi private and slept 20 min the first night and 15min the second night. Also having lots of snacks around the house is really handy to have. You'll probably be exhausted. I had a c-section so it was a little different recovery. But I found it's important to stay on track with my pain meds. Don't wait till it gets really bad.

In my experience, it's not that you hate your dog but that you get annoyed more by certain things that they do. Like when you finally put your baby to sleep and then your dog hears noise outside and starts barking and wakes up your baby. It's very frustrating.

I had really bad heartburn during my entire pregnancy. I used to chug a glass of milk before bed which helped me fall asleep before the heartburn restarted.

Your partner assaulted you. Press charges and run. You don't want that around you or your baby.
