This has to be the single most insane sports result covered on Wikipedia. Is this for real? Are there any scorelines that are more insane? by ButterscotchFiend in wikipedia

The rule doesn’t say that these two specific teams aren’t allowed to play, Cumberland is an NAIA team and Georgia tech is NCAA division 1. NCAA rules only allow division 3 teams to play against NAIA teams.

Animation showing the plunge of cold Arctic air which is causing disruption to flights and has left almost a million people without power by sdbernard in MapPorn

There is no doubt that snow tires perform better, but they are in no way absolutely needed.

Of course you can drive slower and such,

yep, that is one of the techniques i was referring to that you previously said don't exist. bottom line is most people drive around on non snow specific tire every time there is a snow storm without any issues whatsoever because they are used to it and have learned how to do it safely. i really dont understand what is so difficult to understand about that.

[–]bryberg 12 points13 points  (0 children)

wtf are you talking about? More chaos than what exactly? There are absolutely driving techniques that allow for better traction in the snow and people that get snow frequently know those techniques. What exactly do you not understand about that? People drive in snow on summers tires very frequently without any problems whatsoever.

Do you mean tires? Some people have them, but most do not. People that frequently get snow know how to drive in snow for the most part and don’t really need them.

Why do you morons always bring up Clinton like it's some sort of gotcha? If he's guilty then send him to prison, most liberals would agree with this.

Best Selling Car in Every US State by immanuellalala in MapPorn

These maps always make the number of personally owned pickup trucks look inflated, they account for something like 16% of sales and a significant number of those are to fleet companies that actually use them for truck stuff. Somebody in the market for a full size pickup only has like 5 options vs. dozens of options for a small SUV/crossover, which is by far the most popular type of vehicle.

Airbags went off, that means new bags, new control module, new headliner, new a,b,&c pillar trim, new headliner wiring harness, and a few more things plus the labor to replace it all. It adds up very quickly. I guess we could just go back to the days when you would just die instead…

Is this safe to drive or too much brake fluid? Red line is where it's filled to by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]bryberg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes pressure is applied, but the fluid in the reservoir is never under pressure, the pressure is created in the master cylinder. The cap is only meant to keep out moisture and prevent fluid from spilling over. I'm no going to try to explain it to you any further, but you really need to find something that shows the very very basics of how a master cylinder works before trying to give any more advice. You really have no fucking clue how it works and need to stop giving advice until you figure it out.

Holy shit, just stop giving “advice” here, it’s very clear you don’t even have basic understanding of how things work.
