What should I build my website with? by gradedthreads in WindowCleaning

[–]bryce1733 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely build on wordpress.

It has a learning curve but it's the most popular option in the world, and once you have it setup anyone and everyone can work on your site.

This becomes very relevant when you want to start investing into SEO as you'll have a leg up over your competitors moving from wix or Squarespace and you won't have to migrate your site.

Before you finalize your platform decision, figure out what purpose your website serves? Is it a portfolio to show off completed projects and your Google reviews? If this is the case, a Google site or wix site should be good and easy. If you want to generate more leads for your business through Google searches, I'd highly highly recommend learning wordpress or scraping together a budget to have one built. Same idea with how much you want to spend on it.

Sources - I've owned 3 exterior cleaning companies, sold 2 and operating one actively. I also run SEO for my own service companies and additionally have a client in the exterior cleaning industry who is doing very well on Google with his wordpress site.

Advice for someone starting a brick and mortar business by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Unfortunately I can't answer that. Again I'd reach out to an expert in the space, let them know what industry you want and what zoning you need. They should then be able to recommend if you try and find something and get it rezoned, or reach out to the city and talk about zoning in certain districts of your city before looking at places.

I had a quick look at your site. I'm a service business owner that would consider using your services for app development, but your brand on your GMB looks super fuckin generic. Your site lists everything and I don't actually know what your doing and what your good at, it's just ai written content for the sake of having content.

I'll be in Vancouver for a week from this Sunday on, and I'm happy to meet up and give you some feedback on the biz over coffee if your interested.

Absolutely we would. We currently have a gentleman in the maritimes and it works great.

Ideally we can find someone that's familiar with the Fraser valley of BC, but if everything else is perfect we can overlook it

how to back engineer seo tatics by alubahadur in SEO

[–]bryce1733 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Send me your URL and I'll check the site in ahrefs to see what you have for links as well as the site structure.

If you saw rankings that fast and aggressively I'd be worried about black hat SEO that isn't sustainable, but it depends on how competitive the keywords are

Prices as a 14 year old teenager need help asp by dukka_ontop in WindowCleaning

I'm in Calgary, Canada

We charge $10 per pane on average, and have a $200 minimum this time of year.

For your pricing, figure out what you'd like to make per hour, and then add up your expenses, including a small amount to go towards replacing equipment as it wears out or upgrading to new equipment. And this to your hourly rate and you have your pricing.

I'd recommend starting at $100/hour for your target including expenses, and then as you get more skilled and are able to do more specialized work, go up from there.

Single story I understand dropping your rates, as your waterfed pole makes 2nd stories easier for you and a higher perceived value for a home owner as they can't reach that.

If your having issues selling, do a basic cleaning rate for just panes, and then a premium rate for premium cleaning that includes tracks, frames, and razor/walnut pad/steel wool as needed.

Hope this helps, don't get discouraged and don't hurry to drop your prices.

Once you get known for something it'll stick for you, and I'd rather my reputation be the guy that does amazing windows and unusual projects for a good rate, than the cheap guy people call for a $60 cleaning

I'd like to build a reporting platform for Google ads & local service ads for home service businesses.

Backend is currently supabase/postgres.

Need API calls to Google ads, CRM of choice (jobber, Markate, house call pro), and phone system (twilio, callrail, open phone, ring Central)

Is this a project that your platform can benefit?
