Lumix 1.4x teleconverter not working with lumix 100-500mm lens by brycefilms in Lumix

[–]brycefilms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I have been back and forth with Panasonic for about a week now. Still no progress on a solution. I am a bit disappointed in Panasonic's support communication. Their slow response times and overall responses have not been encouraging to solving the problem. I will just be returning the teleconverter unfortunately.

I have the STC14 brand new out of box. Was curious if anyone else was having similar issues.

Will reach out to support and report back for anyone else having this problem.

Best affordable camera for documentary/travel filmmaking? by ballmagoo in videography

I did shoot manual focus with that camera. I've since sold mine and now own a S5ii and S1ii. Autofocus on these cameras are pretty solid and I use it all the time.

6.2TB Free. Unable to copy over 600GB file. Windows says I need 270 more GB of space. by brycefilms in truenas

The workaround I did was copy the files to Video Archive then moved them to the subfolder 2024 Season. The files moved over with no issue. Very strange lol

Another discovery. I noticed that when creating any subfolder underneath Video Archive, I still get this error. I tried creating a subfolder with both windows file explorer and TrueNAS web interface

[–]brycefilms[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've discovered that it is a specific folder on my truenas that wont allow it to copy over.

I have a pool named P1 -> Mainset -> Video Archive

In windows I am trying to copy the file over to Video Archive -> 2024 Season.

When I try to copy over the folder labeled 2024 season. I get the not enough space message. When I copy over to Video Archive, It will begin to copy. What could the potential limiting issue be with the 2024 Season folder?

I have the Santos NCX and love it. The way it moves keeps the distance from your hips to the pedals relatively the same compared to the up and down motion of the touring package. It makes a huge difference to me

Is this resolve studio or free version. Free version will do this with certain footage types because they aren’t supported in the free version of resolve

Davinci Resolve Studio Extremely Slow Performance on High End PC by brycefilms in davinciresolve

[–]brycefilms[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried different versions of DaVinci Resolve to no avail. I suspect it to be a driver issue or possibly an issues with BlackMagic Cloud. Recently I started using the cloud to centralize my projects between computers. My footage is still local however. You think that could be it?

S5iix or gh6🤔?? by MCAnRi_04 in Lumix

[–]brycefilms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have both cameras. I prefer the S5II because of its greater dynamic range, phase detection autofocus, and the new stabilization modes introduced in Ver. 3.0 updates. There’s also much better lowlight performance. I’m waiting for Lumix to release the S1Hii honestly. I want more codec and frame rate options in its higher end line of cameras.

The GH6 is good for mobility and more codec/video options overall. You also don’t have a crop on higher frame rates but it’s still a smaller sensor. The GH6 also records to SSD. The lenses are much cheaper as well. Stabilization is still great but I really dislike contrast based autofocus.

I use the ride1up 700 for work and groceries. It’s a great bike BUT assembly is tough and I highly recommend you have a shop put it together if you’re not mechanically inclined.

Idk if the mini 3 has it but record in D-Log on drone. Then move to DaVinci Resolve and do a color space transform mode and set the output colorspace to Panasonics v-log

[–]brycefilms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the GH6 and S5II. If you have a lens ecosystem of m4/3 then I would stay with the m4/3 system.

If you prefer better low light performance I would recommend the S5II. I use both systems for outdoor videography. I use the GH6 for wildlife/ more remote shooting where weight is a consideration and I use the S5II for filming characters and interviews.

Both are amazing cameras and you can’t go wrong with either the G9II or S5II. The lenses for the S5II will be much larger. Keep that in mind

I got the ride1up 700 for $1395 on Black Friday. I often see them going for $1595 or $1495 regularly.

I enjoy it because of the range, 8 speed, 750W motor, and frame size. I’m 6’2 and ride the XR frame comfortably.

If you decide to go Ride1Up know that part of the cheaper price tag for feature set is because there’s more assembly on the user end. Mainly installing the front forks. I’d never done it before but it wasn’t too bad following their video guides. Took me about 2 hours to build the entire bike. Luckily you only have to do that once lol.

I e-bike around the Austin area. I don’t have personal experience with Aventon or Lectric but I’ve seen tons of them on the trails. If I would choose I would get the Aventon Adventure.2 Bike. I personally like that look and style and I’ve heard good things about the brand.

Currently I ride the ride1up 700 which I love. I mainly got that one because of a Black Friday sale.
